The Spaniard again checked as the 2♦ river landed, but this time the Japanese made it 4,500. Gutierrez went deep into his 30 seconds allocated to make a decision and eventually made the call. Kobayashi turned over A♦5♣, having flopped top pair. Gutierrez double-tapped the table in appreciation as he mucked his hand.
