Astedt Doubles and Nemeth Departs

Andrii Derzhypilskyi opened to 12,000 from the button before Robbie Toan moved all in for around 250,000 from the small blind. Niklas Astedt called off his stack of 63,000 from the big blind before Derzhypilskyi got out of the way.

Astedt's pocket jacks remained best as the board ran out with the 10♥9♠5♥2♦5♠.

On the other table, Andras Nemeth was facing a decision for his tournament life.

There was around 72,000 in the pot on the A♣J♣K♦10♥8♦ board. Nemeth, with 55,000 behind, checked from the big blind. Michel Molenaar bet 100,000 to put his opponent all-in.

Nemeth used several time banks before calling.

Molenaar had Broadway with his Q♠9♥ while Nemeth showed his K♣10♠ before leaving the tournament room.

Talbot's Lack of Concentration Pays Off

Tamas Adamszki opened to 13,000 from early position before Parker Talbot unintentionally called on his direct left. Talbot did not see the initial raise and wanted to kick things himself. He had wanted to make it 12,000 and put 10,000 in the middle before seeing Adamszki had acted. The floor ruled it as a call. Robbie Toan then defended his big blind.

Action checked to Talbot on the Q♠8♦3♦ flop and he bet 11,000. Only Toan called. Toan then check-folded to a bet 23,000 on the J♦ turn.

"So lucky," chimed Astedt before Talbot flashed a nine.

"All of those chips for not paying attention," added Astedt which drew a laugh from the PokerStars Ambassador.

"I would've won a similar-sized pot. I would have gone all in, and he [Admaszki] would've folded," replied Talbot.

Mulder Picks Off Beresford

Teun Mulder raised to 12,000 in the hijack and Conor Beresford called in the big blind.

The flop came 10♠6♣7♣ and Mulder continued for 15,000. Beresford called and both players then checked the 5♣ turn.

Beresford moved all in for around 60,000 on the J♠ river and Mulder snap-called. Beresford showed 8♣5♦ for a pair of fives, while Mulder had J♣9♣ for a pair of jacks to win the pot and eliminate Beresford.

"You gave it away, didn't you? I could tell by the look on your face," Parker Talbot called out from another table as Beresford got up from his seat.

Volkmann Wins One All In, Loses Another

The flop came 2♠3♠Q♦ and they got the rest of Volkmann's 17,500 in the middle.

Volkmann had flopped two pair to take the lead, and Beresford didn't find any help on the A♦ turn or 2♥ river as Volkmann doubled up.

Volkmann got to enjoy his new chips for just one hand, however. After Yulian Bogdanov raised to 12,000 in middle position, Volkmann moved all in from the small blind for around 45,000 and Bogdanov called.

Volkmann couldn't beat two eights this time as the board came 6♦2♠5♣9♠A♦, sending him to the rail.

Molenaar then check-called for 7,500 on the 5♠ turn, which brought in the 2♣ river. Molenaar checked again and O'Dwyer bet 19,000 after using up a time bank. Molenaar then handed one of his time banks to the dealer before flicking in a call.

O'Dwyer tabled 10♠7♠ for a bluff while Molenaar had the winner with his 6♣6♦.
