The board ran out A♣6♣5♣J♠8♦. Both players paired their ace on the flop. The low runout meant that Lacin's seven kicker played to give him the pot and the double up.
That barely left a dent in Ciprian's stack, which still totalled around 100,000.
Abdullah Turan raised to 800 from middle position and was called by Jyri Merivirta on the button, Patrik Pillmann in the small blind, and the player in the big blind.
The flop came J♦K♦Q♣. Action checked to Turan, who made it 2,000 to go. Pillmann then check-raised all in for 11,500. The rest of the table folded and Turan made the call.
Players flipped their cards. Pillmann showed A♦8♦ for the nut flush draw. Turan flipped K♠J♥ for two pair.
The turn came the 8♣ and the river was the 5♠. Turan held to win a significant pot and Pillmann was eliminated.
The under-the-gun player limped in, Lukas Benkovic raised to 1,200 from middle position and Yasuhiro Waki squeezed to 5,600, from the button. The original limper folded and Benkovic moved all in for Waki's effective stack of 10,600. Waki called.

The board ran out 7♦6♥8♦Q♦5♦. Benkovic's pocket nines improved to a flush to eliminate Waki.
Patrick Pillman open-raised to 600 from middle position and Nikolai Ogoltsov three-bet to 1,600. John Farrell called in the small blind and Pillman also called.
The flop came Q♥5♦3♦. Action checked to Ogoltsov, who made it 1,600 to go. Farrell called and Pillman folded.
The turn was the 4♦. Farrell checked and Ogoltsov bet 2,500, which Farrell called.
The river came the 9♣. Farrell checked and Ogoltsov bet 15,000, putting Farrell all in. Farrell called and flipped over A♠Q♦ for a pair of queens. Ogoltsov, however, had A♦9♦ for a turned flush to win the pot, sending Farrell to an early exit from the flight.
The 2023 PokerStars European Poker Tour (EPT) Prague here at Hilton Prague kicked off today with the €1,100 Eureka Main Event. Day 1a, the first of the six starting flights, got underway this afternoon with its turbo counterpart, Day 1b, set to kick off at 7 p.m.
The same event last year drew an impressive 4,017 entries across four different starting flights. With the addition of two more day one flights, it is anticipated this event will round up the EPT’s calendar year with another record-breaking field.
In 2022, it was Pieter Theelen who emerged victorious after defeating Anton Suarez heads-up. Theelen lay claim to the lion's share of the €3,856,320 prize pool, taking home €496,760 for the first-place prize.

Each player will receive a starting stack of 30,000 with the blinds commencing at 100/100 with a 100 big-blind ante. The levels will be 30 minutes long with players allowed one reentry per flight. A break of 15 minutes will be held after every four levels. Late registration will close at the end of Level 10 and play will end for the day once the field is reduced to 15% of the total entries. All players who survive into Day 2 are guaranteed to make the money (the prize pool will be announced at the start of Day 2).
