Who Will Come Out on Top in €25,000 No-Limit Hold'em III?

Trophy
Trophy

There will be at least 13 players returning to their seats for Day 2 of the €25,000 No-Limit Hold'em III on the final day of the 2023 PokerStars European Poker Tour Paris festival. It was a wild opening day to the event that saw ten levels play out and nearly 60% of the field eliminated thus far.

A total of 31 entries were recorded last night but late registration will remain open until 12 p.m. noon local time when the cards go back in the air. Leading the way heading into the final day of competition is none other than Adrian Mateos who will return to a stack of 757,000 chips. Mateos strolled in a few levels into the event and wasted no time spinning up a stack, sometimes in part due to a favorable river card.

He will be chased down by Dutchman Teun Mulder who already showed his dominance earlier this week by taking home a single-day €25,000 event. Mulder went on to eliminate every person on that final table in around 30 minutes to capture the title. He will be returning to a stack of 477,000 chips, most of which were accumulated in the first few levels.

Others to keep an eye on heading into today include Sirzat Hissou (340,000), Thomas Muehloecker (289,000), Steve O'Dwyer, (217,000), and Jean-Noel Thorel (196,000) still has chips he can put to good use as well. There will still be others that have a chance to join the field with a fresh stack of 100,000 chips so long as they haven't used both of their bullets already.

The cards will be in the air at 12 p.m. local time with the blinds resuming on level 11 at 2,000/5,000 and a 5,000 big blind ante. The levels will continue to be 30 minutes in length throughout the day until just three players are left and the levels will be cut in half. There will also be a 15-minute break after every three or four levels and no dinner break is on the schedule as of yet.

The PokerNews live reporting team will be on the floor to bring you all of the live updates throughout the day en route to crowning another high-stakes tournament champion.
