Normand slowed down with a check on the 3♦ river and Stoenescu bet 20,000 to put Normand to the test for his remaining stack of around 13,000. Normand called.
Stoenescu showed an overpair with A♦A♠ and it was good to eliminate Normand, who had a pair of queens with A♣Q♦.
