Teusl Delays the Win

Nível 10 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Jessica Teusl
Jessica Teusl

Ricardo Caridade made the min-raise to 3,000 from middle position and Jessica Teusl three-bet to 9,000 from the button. Ghassan Bitar was in the small blind and called cold, and Caridade followed suit.

Three players saw the flop, which came down K96. All players checked and the dealer put out the 4 turn. Bitar and Caridade checked again, but Teusl now made a bet of 15,000. This was enough to take down the pot as her opponents quickly folded.

Assorted Chip Counts in Final Break

Nível 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Fitoussi Fizzles Out

Nível 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Stephen Kehoe open-raised to 2,500 and received calls from Aviv Meiri and Jimmy Armougom. Bruno Fitoussi then went for the three-bet to 16,000 before Kehoe put in a four-bet to 40,000.

The other two players did not want to partake anymore and mucked their cards, before Fitoussi went all-in for 6,000 chips more. Kehoe was committed and made the call.

Bruno Fitoussi: AQ
Stephen Kehoe: KQ

Domination rotation as Kehoe hit a king on the 103K flop. Fitoussi could still hit an ace or jack to clinch out a win, but no more paint appeared on the 38 runout. Fittousi busted his second bullet of the day, while Kehoe stacked up to more than 130 big blinds on his first one.

Action was heads up with 20,000 in the middle and 798 on the board when Jean Yves Chicheportiche shoved 29,800 into Alec Torelli and his remaining 26,000. Torelli went into the tank and talked out his frustration.

"I should've just shipped it," Torelli said before he made the tank-fold.

On the next hand, Pierre Zerbib raised to 2,500 from under the gun and Sim Kok Wai called from the big blind. The flop was 838 and Wai check-folded when Zerbib tossed out 3,400.

Karam Kicks Out Shelukhin

Nível 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

A significant 28,000 was in the middle between Ramzi Karam in the under the gun position and Alexander Shelukhin on the button. The completed board read 3AQ910 and Shelukhin made a bet of 21,000 after a check from Karam. Karam then put the rest of his money in, totaling 60,900.

Shelukhin made the call and the cards went face-up.

Alexander Shelukhin: A5
Ramzi Karam: A10

Both players had a pair of aces, but Karam had a pair of tens to go with that as well. After the dealers counted both players' stacks, it was determined that Karam covered Shelukhin by 200 chips. Thus, this hand resulted in his elimination from the tournament.

Osti Goes Pedal to the Metal

Nível 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

A flop of 53J was already dealt when the action was caught. Cutoff Antonio Queijeiro checked to Mercedes Osti on the button, who fired out a bet of 6,000. Queijeiro then check-raised to 18,300 before Osti put in the three-bet all in for 48,500.

Queijeiro had to think long and hard about his decision but ended up making the call.

Mercedes Osti: 66
Antonio Queijeiro: QJ

Osti had three-bet the flop with just a pair of sixes, hoping her opponent would fold the better hand. Queijeiro saw through it, however, and made the daring call with his top pair.

The 9 turn killed all backdoor opportunities for Osti and the river remained free of a six with the 10 completing the board.

Osti took her leave while the table complemented Queijeiro for his hero call.
