Zhou Catches Mokri Speeding
Quan Zhou and Kayhan Mokri were on a flop of 2♣K♣9♠, with roughly 100,000 chips already in the middle. Zhou checked from the big blind to Mokri in middle position, and the latter made a bet of 30,000. Zhou called and the 6♥ turn was dealt.
Zhou checked again and Mokri upped his sizing to 125,000. Again, Zhou called before the 7♠ river completed the board. Zhou checked for a third time and Mokri put out a massive bet of 340,000, leaving himself only 165,000 behind.
Zhou put forth all of his time bank chips while he pondered his decision. He counted his chips and mulled it over for several minutes before eventually coming up with a call.
Mokri could only show ace-high with A♦3♦, while Zhang had called him down with K♠10♦ for a pair of kings. Zhou won the massive pot while Mokri was left with just over ten big blinds.
