Day 3 Not Al-Kubasi's Day; Bojovic Also Busts to One-Outer

Nível 28 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Ali Al Kubasi
Ali Al Kubasi

Ali Al-Kubasi on the button and Ramon Kropmanns in the small blind got into a pre-flop raising war that ended with Al-Kubasi all in for his last 3,500,000.

Ali Al-Kubasi: JJ
Ramon Kropmanns: 99

Al-Kubasi was poised for a massive double up until the flop came 895, giving Kropmanns top set. Al-Kubasi let out a loud groan after running into a set for the third time today and could only watch helplessly as the board ran out Q6, sending him to an early exit after starting the day in second place on the leaderboard.

At the same time on another table, Luka Bojovic moved all in for 320,000 in the hijack, Grzegorz Kozieja reshoved for 900,000 in the small blind, and Andrei Vavilonskii gave it some thought before mucking his big blind.

Luka Bojovic: AQ
Grzegorz Kozieja: 88

Bojovic pulled in front on the 3A5 flop with a pair of aces, but Kozieja spiked the 8 on the turn to make a set.

"Wow, ace-eight I folded," Vavilonskii said, suggesting that Kozieja had hit a one-outer. The river was the 9 and Kozieja returned Bojovic's phone charger to him in return for the rest of his stack.

Tom Vogelsang
Tom Vogelsang

Adam Rayhaan raised to 170,000 on the button and Tom Vogelsang called in the small blind before big blind Azizjon Rakhimov, who had just had a cappuccino delivered to the table, moved all in for 1,175,000. Rayhaan folded, but Vogelsang called.

Azizjon Rakhimov: AK
Tom Vogelsang: 55

Rakhimov came out on the losing end of the coin flip as the board came 641076, sending him to the rail but not before remembering to take his cappuccino with him as he wished the table luck.

At the same time on another table, Andrei Vavilonskii and Alfred Karam were tangling in a pot with the board showing 7589. Karam bet 450,000 in the big blind before Vavilonskii moved all in for 1,765,000 from the small blind.

Karam called with J6 for a straight, but Vavilonskii had a higher straight with 106. The river came the 5 and Karam was forced to hand over most of his stack.

Ramon Kropmanns got out of the way in the big blind, but Guimond called to the 4 turn. Al-Kubasi then bet another 200,000 and Guimond responded by moving all in for 670,000.

Al-Kubasi snap-called with A7, but he was already drawing dead as Guimond showed QQ for a set. The 4 river improved Guimond to a full house and Al-Kubasi left the table to collect himself, leaving the dealer to count out his chips to give to Guimond.
