In the small blind, Ankit Ahuja opened to 425,000. Then Ramon Kropmanns moved all in from the big blind for approximately 4,000,000. Ahuja quickly took some chips to call.
Ramon Kropmanns: K♣Q♦
Ankit Ahuja: K♥K♠
Kropmanns was drawing dead on the turn on 4♥6♠4♠9♦5♣. Finishing 11th, Kropmanns wins $25,750. One more elimination is now needed to reach the final table.
Aksel Aygun was in the big blind in a heads-up pot against Andrei Vavilonskii in the cutoff on a board of 5♦6♦7♣3♦.
Aygun checked on the turn and called a bet of around 500,000 from Vavilonskii. Aygun checked again on the Q♠ river and Vavilonskii moved all in as Aygun considered calling off for his tournament life with a stack of around 2,500,000. After a few minutes in the tank, Aygun called.
There would be no roses for Aksel as Vavilonskii showed K♦7♦ for a flush to beat out the Belgian's pair of threes with A♦3♠ to send him out in 12th place.
"King-seven, you like this combo!" commented Roman Gadzhiev in reference to a four-bet pot from the previous level.
Ramon Kropmanns had just changed tables and hadn't even unracked his chips yet when he opened to 225,000 from under the gun. Andrei Teodorescu called in the big blind.
The flop came 3♦K♥4♣ and Kropmanns continued for 200,000. Teodorescu called and the J♥ fell on the turn.
Kropmanns then bet another 575,000 and Teodorescu came back with a raise to 1,475,000. Kropmanns spent several minutes in the tank before announcing all in.
Teodorescu snap-called for 2,845,000 and showed K♠J♣ for two pair. Kropmanns had A♥K♣ and couldn't catch up on the 7♠ river as Teodorescu earned the double up.
In the hijack, chip leader Ankit Ahuja opened to 225,000 and was called by Mykhailo Demydenko on the button. But in the big blind, Grzegorz Kozieja shoved for 2,520,000. Ahuja folded, and Demydenko asked for the count before calling.
Grzegorz Kozieja: A♦Q♥
Mykhailo Demydenko: 8♣8♥
Kozieja was on the edge of elimination after Demydenko found a straight flush draw on the flop 10♣6♣7♣. The K♠ came on the turn, and the K♣ on the river to complete Demydenko's flush and send Kozieja to the rail.
Action folded to Stanislav Tishkevich on the button who moved all in for 680,000. "I only looked at one," Tom Vogelsang said as he called in the big blind.
Stanislav Tishkevich: Q♠10♠
Tom Vogelsang: A♥4♥
"Could be better. Could be worse," Vogelsang said.
"Live cards," Tishkevich added, standing up from his seat to await the 6♠J♠9♦ flop. He picked up straight and flush draws, but missed the J♣ turn.
"So many outs," Tishkevich said, but none arrived on the 9♣ river. Tishkevich asked to take a picture of the board, with Vogelsang giving a thumbs up as he posed beside his cards before Tishkevich went off to collect his 14th place payout.
More than 1,000,000 was already in the pot as Ramon Kropmanns and Dauren Zhaparov went heads-up to the turn on a board of 7♠K♠5♦3♦.
Kropmanns then bet 535,000 from early position and Zhaparov called in the small blind. The river came the A♠ and Kropmanns slid forward a tower of bumblebee 100,000 chips, enough to put Zhaparov all in.
Zhaparov tanked for several minutes until the clock was finally called. He allowed the countdown to go down to the final 10 seconds before putting in his last 1,000,000, showing 7♥6♠ for a pair of sevens.
Kropmans, though, had 5♠3♥ for two pair to win the pot and send Zhaparov to the rail in 15th place.
Grzegorz Kozieja opened to 200,000 on the button and Eimantas Venckus three-bet jammed a stack of 520,000 from the small blind. Michel Atallah called in the big blind and Kozieja re-shoved to bring a fold from Atallah.
Eimantas Venckus: A♦K♠
Grzegorz Kozieja: K♣9♣
Atallah gave an annoyed glance to Kozieja after seeing the hand he chose to isolate with as Venckus found himself in great shape to triple up. The flop of Q♥5♦10♣ didn't change anything, but the 9♥ gave Kozieja a big lead and the 7♠ river confirmed Venckus' elimination in 16th place.
Andreas Tomazou and Mykhailo Demydenko were heads-up on a board of 10♠8♣2♠5♦4♠ when Tomazou bet 400,000. Demydenko then moved all in and Tomazou, with around 1,500,000, let out a laugh before announcing "pass."
The next hand, Tomazou moved all in on a flop of 4♦2♦6♦ and Michel Atallah called.
Andreas Tomazou: A♠Q♦
Michel Atallah: A♦3♣
Tomazou needed to dodge Atallah's straight draw as the turn came the 7♥. The river, though, was the 3♠ and Atallah spiked a pair to send Tomazou to the rail in 18th place.
Walter Treccarichi opened in early position and Ramon Kropmanns called from the next seat before David Kaufmann three-bet jammed from the big blind. Only Kropmanns called.
David Kaufmann: KxQx
Ramon Kropmanns: 4♥4♣
Kaufmann couldn't win the flip as the board ran out 8♣5♠A♥J♠6♣ to mark his elimination in 19th place.
