Sydenstricker Won't Believe Plante's Hand
Santiago Plante raised to 170,000 in early position and Joao Sydenstricker called in the big blind.
The flop came 3♥Q♣7♥ and Plante continued for 140,000. Sydenstricker again called and both players checked the K♦ turn.
Sydenstricker used up a time bank on the 9♣ river before checking again and this time Plante slid forward a tower of green 25,000 chips for a bet of 500,000. Sydenstricker snap-folded.
"Were you going for a big bluff?" Plante asked him after the hand.
"You have ace-king, ace-queen," Sydenstricker responded.
"You think I would check back ace-king," Plante replied.
"Ace-queen?" Sydenstricker asked.
"That's what I'm trying to say I have. I have something you would never believe. It makes sense when you see it, but you wouldn't believe it," Plante concluded.
