Following an under the gun raise, Erich Tedeschi moved all in for 22,000 and Al Jandeel moved all in over the top for 77,000. The original raiser folded and players flipped their cards, with Tedeschi at risk.
Erich Tedeschi: 4♣4♥
Al Jandeel: A♥A♠
Tedeschi called out for the "quatre" as the board ran out 5♠9♦K♣9♥4♦. The quatre did indeed come on the river and Tedeschi let out a yell of joy as he doubled up to survive.
The bubble is now close, the tension in the room growing, the calls of "Time" ringing out across the floor as players attempt to stall their way through.
Michal Schuh open raised from under the gun and Giuseppe Liotta moved all from middle position for 47,000. Schuh made the call. The hand was paused and another hand played out, but ended in a double up. The tournament director came over and players gathered around to see if the bubble would burst. Players flipped their cards, with Liotta at risk.
Giuseppe Liotta: A♠K♥
Michal Schuh: K♣J♥
Liotta had Schuh dominated with his ace king against Schuh's king jack. The board ran out 4♠9♣8♦10♥Q♥. Neutral players began to stir as the ten came, giving Schuh the straight draw. The queen completed the straight and Schuh won the pot. Cheers rang out as the realization set in.
Liotta was eliminated from the tournament and the bubble had burst. All other players have made it through to Day 2 and into the money.
