After just two hours (which included a 20-minute break!), the lightning-fast final table of the €2,200 Estrellas Poker Tour High Roller has crowned its winner in Miroslav Alilovic. With almost $800,000 in lifetime cashes according to The Hendon Mob, today's win of €512,650 will take him over the $1.3 million-mark.

His previous biggest cash came in 2014 when he finished in 11th place in EPT Monte Carlo Grand Final Main Event for $115,106. With over 11 years' experience, this win was celebrated loudly by him and his rail who all proudly posed for the winner pictures.

Alilovic defeated Ian Bradley heads-up in a field that attracted 2,173 entries which created a prize pool of €4,172,160.

Day 3 Action

After PokerStars Ambassador Andre Akkari and Isidoro Barrena busted in the final minutes of Day 2, the seven remaining players bagged up for today. With the average stack worth 18 big blinds, the action promised to be hot and heavy from the start.

In the first hand of the day, Xavier Mouysset looked down at pocket eights and shoved to see Bradley hold with pocket queens. He got no help from the board and left the final table within the first minute. Agatino Spitaleri first doubled up Alilovic and then lost the remainder to him in a three-way all-in situation which also saw Emil Mattsson getting involved.

Emil Mattsson
Emil Mattsson finished in fourth place for €213,360

Mattsson doubled up through Aliaksandr Hirs before Jorge Diego Garcia saw his run end when he ran his ace-seven into the pocket fours of Bradley. His opponent flopped a set and turned a full house to complete the picture. Bradley kept building his stack but Alilovic was the one who would eventually take out Mattson, who pushed his last 11 big blinds in with ten-eight suited. Alilovic flopped top pair and improved to two pair on the river to get the tournament down to three players.

On the next hand, Hirs shoved his pocket sixes into the jacks of Alilovic in a blind versus blind situation to get the tournament down to the heads-up stage. The two players immediately went for a break before beginning their battle.

Heads-Up Deal and Battle

Ian Bradley
Ian Bradley finishes in second place for €500,000

Bradley held the chip lead with 57% of the chips in play and when they returned from their break, they asked to see the ICM numbers. In the end, they agreed that Bradley would claim at least €500,000 with Alilovic taking €480,000 to leave €32,650 behind to play for.

Alilovic doubled up to take the chip lead with pocket tens, then both players chopped a few pots, before Bradley fought back to jump to the top of the chips. Alilovic bluffed with a missed flopped straight draw and got Bradley to fold to open up an almost 2:1 chip lead. In the end, Bradley shoved with queen-ten for Alilovic to call with king-queen. Alilovic held with the higher kicker to win the PokerStars trophy and €512,650 here at the 2022 PokerStars and Barcelona©Casino European Poker Tour.
