Triple Barrel Bluff From Macchiarelli

Nível 3 : Blinds 100/300, 300 ante

Ole Schemion check-called 600 from Luciano Macchiarelli in the cutoff on a flop of {k-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}.

Schemion check-called another 2,400 on the {9-Clubs} and 8,2000 on the {8-Clubs} river as Macchiarelli fired on all three streets.

Macchiarelli showed {j-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} for a missed gutshot straight with Schemion taking down the pot with {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs} for top pair.

Berdah Shows an Ace

Nível 3 : Blinds 100/300, 300 ante

Antonio Buonanno opened in middle position and Steve Berdah three-bet to 2,600 out of the small blind. Action folded back to Buonanno and the Italian four-bet to 5,900.

Buonanno went in the tank and counted his stack before folding, turning over the {a-Hearts} as he did so.

"No good ace," Buonanno laughed.

"Good ace," Berdah replied. "I think you have better than ace-queen."

An Orbit with WSOP Final Tablist Philippe Souki - "An Idiot With a Dream"

Nível 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante
Philippe Souki
Philippe Souki

Earlier this year, Philippe Souki recorded an eighth-place finish in the WSOP Main Event for $1,075,000 and is now here in London playing in the EPT Main Event. A regular on the EPT, Souki even cashed on the UKIPT when the EPT visited London in 2013.

Hand #1: Souki folded his button.

Hand #2: After the hijack opened to 500 , Souki called in the cutoff as did both blinds. The four players checked down the {9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} flop and turn and the river was the {9-Diamonds}. Abu Hamza Khalek checked his small blind and Kayhan Mokri bet 3,700 into a pot of just over 2,000. It folded back to Khalek who called.

"Five-high," said Mokri, with Khalek tabling {j-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for trip jacks and the winner.

Hand #3: Souki raised to 500 from the hijack and took down the blinds and antes.

Hand #4: Souki folded from early position

Hand #5: Souki folded from under the gun

Hand #6: Souki checked his big blind after Frederic Normand limped in the small blind. They checked down the {j-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{2-Hearts}{10-Spades}{10-Clubs} board and chopped the pot after Normand {q-Diamonds}{5-Spades} and Souki {q-Clubs}{4-Hearts} both tabled queen-high.

Hand #7: Souki folded his small blind to an under-the-gun open.

Any table featuring Mokri is a lively one, and this was no exception. Mokri played yesterday only to bust short of Day 2 and is joined at the table by the likes of Toby Joyce and Vladas Tamasauskas.

"I was trying to figure out where I had played with you before," Tamasauskas said to Souki. "But then I realised it's from the WSOP."

"I love Main Events. Super slow and super fun, and you get to meet cool people. But why do I always get the clinic tables," bemoaned Mokri.

"I'm not a clinic," said Souki. "I'm just an idiot with a dream!"
