Kim Doubles Through Calamusa

Gab Yong Kim raised to 50,000 from the button with {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts} and Pierre Calamusa three-bet to 175,000 in the big blind with {a-Spades}{a-Hearts} which Kim called.

The flop came {10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} for Kim to hit a pair of eights but keep Calamusa ahead. Calamusa bet 150,000 and Kim called after looking at his cards once more.

The turn was the {4-Spades} to keep things the same. Calamusa barreled a bet of 400,000 into the pot. Kim took some time and then called after using a time bank card.

The river completed the board with the {8-Clubs} to give Kim trips. Calamusa shoved and Kim snap-called for the 610,000 he had behind to double up.

Zahiti Getting Short Once More

Mikalai Pobal raised the button to 50,000 and Fidan Zahiti called out of the big blind.

Zahiti opted to bet the {7-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} flop for 65,000 and Pobal just called, which then led to the {a-Diamonds} on the turn. Zahiti now checked and called a bet of 110,000 by Pobal.

The {6-Hearts} on the turn slowed down the action and both checked. Zahiti revealed {8-Clubs}{7-Spades} and Pobal had the best of it with {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts} for a pair of queens.

Lee Forces Paiva Out of the Pot

Tomas Paiva opened to 55,000 and Aleksandr Sheshukov mistakenly limped in the small blind. He was forced to either forfeit the 25,000-value chip or call. He elected to fold and Wing Sang Lee called in the big blind.

The flop came {2-Spades}{6-Hearts}{10-Hearts} and Lee checked to Paiva who continued for 105,000. Lee check-raised to 255,000 and Paiva folded.

Panka Chips Up

Ricardo Da Rocha raised to 55,000 from under the gun with {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}. Dominik Panka found {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds} on the button and called. Dietrich Fast did the same in the small blind with {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs}. Gab Yong Kim picked up {k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} and defended his big blind.

The flop came {3-Spades}{9-Spades}{2-Spades} for Panka to stay ahead and it was checked to him. Panka checked too.

The turn was the {8-Clubs}, Fast checked, Kim bet 40,000 with the pair of nines. Da Rocha laid down his cards, Panka called and Fast quickly folded.

The river completed the board with the {8-Spades} to give Panka the nut flush and Kim two pair. Kim checked and Panka led out for 125,000. Kim looked at his cards a few more times and then folded.

Marsh Gets Some Chips Back

Pierre Calamusa raised to 50,000 from the cutoff with {q-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} and was called by Luke Marsh in the small blind with {6-Spades}{6-Hearts}.

The flop came {9-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{3-Hearts}, Marsh check-called the 100,000 bet of Calamusa.

The turn was the {7-Diamonds}, Marsh took over the initiative and led out for 100,000 and that was enough for Calamusa to fold his hand.

Zahiti Loses Two Small Pots

Morten Hvam raised and was called by Fidan Zahiti in the big blind. On the {k-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{9-Clubs} flop, Zahiti checked and snap-called a bet of 50,000 by Hvam. They checked the {7-Diamonds} turn and the {q-Diamonds} river, and Zahiti tabled the {9-Hearts}{8-Spades}. Hvam had that beat with the {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs} and Zahiti shook his head.

One hand later, Vlastimil Pustina opened to 50,000 from under the gun and he was called by Zahiti in the small blind and Stefan Egermann in the big blind. The {q-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} flop was checked and Zahiti bet the {6-Spades} turn for 65,000, only Egermann came along.

After the {j-Spades} river, Zahiti checked and Egermann now bet 75,000.

While trying to get some information via table chat, Zahiti used two bank extensions and eventually made the call. Egermann turned over {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} and that won the pot.

Calamusa Folds to Fast

Dietrich Fast raised to 50,000 from the cutoff with {q-Hearts}{j-Spades} and was called by Pierre Calamusa in the big blind with {k-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}.

Fast continued with a bet of 30,000 on the {10-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{4-Hearts} flop which Calamusa check-called.

The turn was the {q-Diamonds} for Fast to hit a pair of queens. Calamusa now check-folded to the 125,000 bet of Fast.

Shortstacked Oliva Chips Up

Gaby Livshitz raised to 50,000 and both Tomas Paiva and Jakub Oliva called in the blinds.

The {4-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{k-Spades} checked to Livshitz who continued for 75,000. Paiva folded before Oliva check-raised to 200,000 leaving himself just 5,000 behind.

Livshitz quickly folded and Oliva took down the pot.

They both checked through the {6-Clubs}{9-Spades}{6-Diamonds} on the flop to the {7-Hearts} on the turn. Panka check-folded to the 75,000 bet of Calamusa.

Gab Yong Kim raised to 50,000 from under the gun and Dietrich Fast defended his big blind with {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}. They checked through the {6-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} flop to the {5-Diamonds} on the turn. Fast bet 65,000 and Kim called.

The river completed the board with the {3-Clubs} for Kim to stay ahead with the trip jacks. Fast checked and Kim bet 85,000. Fast checked his cards again and made the call to see that he had to pay up.
