Zyrin Loses "Two Coin Flips in One Hand"

Nível 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

In a blind on blind confrontation, Daniel Rezaei chucked it in for 14,300 and Anatolii Zyrin seemed unsure what to do. He took out a coin to let faith decide, and after flipping it it landed on the side that indicated he should call. The jovial Russian proceeded to do so.

Daniel Rezaei: {2-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}
Anatolii Zyrin: {k-Spades}{5-Spades}

The actual in-game coin flip also landed in Rezaei's favor, who held up during the {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}{8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{6-Spades} rundown. "Winning two coin flips in one hand!" he laughed at his good fortune.

Two Players Out on Table 10

Nível 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

In quick succession, two players busted out from the same table. First, Sonny Franco was up with {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds} against the {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades} of Sorin Flutur, who caught a classic ace on the river to send the Frenchman packing: {6-Hearts}{6-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{a-Hearts}.

Shortly after, Evaldas Aniulis three-bet shoved all in over a raise from Giuseppe Ruocco, who snapped him off with {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}. Aniulis had {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts} and caught nothing on a {7-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} board to end his Main Event run in level 9.

Dominques Costa Doubles Through Zyrin

Nível 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Down to just 7,100, PokerStars qualifier Silvio Domingues Costa got his stack in with the {q-Spades}{10-Clubs} and Anatolii Zyrin made the call from one seat over with the {a-Hearts}{9-Clubs}.

The {j-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} flop improved Dominques Costa while Zyrin picked up some outs on the {6-Hearts} turn. A blank {k-Diamonds} followed on the river and the Portuguese doubled.

Reichenstein Loses Flip

Nível 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Uri Reichenstein got his 20 big blinds in with pocket fives and had a flip, as Claudio Di Giacomo looked him up with the {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}.

Di Giacomo took the lead on the {a-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop and remained there thanks to the {6-Hearts} turn and {4-Spades} river run out.

Wang Doubles Through Calamusa

Nível 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

The cards of Pierre Calamusa were already in the muck and he had to forfeit a fraction of his massive stack as Yilong Wang had hit the nut flush with {a-Hearts}{2-Hearts} on a board of {j-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}.

Calamusa remains well out in front of more than eight times the starting stack.

Caballo Gets Paid by Guerrero

Nível 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

With around 18,500 in the middle and the completed board showing {9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{2-Spades}{4-Spades}, Jimmy Guerrero in the big blind made it 3,800 to go. Ori Caballo raised it up to 17,000 and Guerrero tank-called.

Caballo turned over the {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} and that won the pot.

"What is going on here? ... Why don't you go all-in?" Martin Kabrhel inquired and Guerrero replied "I am playing bad."

A pot of 32,000 had emerged in the last hand before the break and Gergo Pinter had moved all in for 25,500 with the turn showing {6-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Spades}{k-Diamonds}. Mustafa Jukovic was in the tank once more and he eventually called four minutes into the previous break.

Pinter rolled over the {a-Spades}{q-Clubs} and Jukovic replied "I am better than you now" but had not exposed his cards yet. The dealer reminded him of the fact and Jukovic then revealed {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}. He turned around in order to not see the final card, which was the {2-Spades}.

"You won," Pasquale Braco said who had stuck around for the showdown.
