Nível 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Ivan Leow
Ivan Leow

Ivan Leow opened to 2,500 and Koray Aldemir three-bet to 9,000. Leow then announced raise and four-bet to 32,000. A tournament official was called just to clarify the exact way that Leow put out his chips, but it was ruled a raise to 32,000.

Aldemir called. The flop came {2-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{j-Hearts} and Leow bet 36,000. Aldemir then moved all in for 113,000 and after a short tank, Leow folded.

Nível 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Ivan Leow opened to 2,700 in middle position and was called by Sean Winter on his left. Koray Aldemir three-bet to 12,700 on the button which got Leow to fold but Winter called.

The flop came {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} and Winter checked to Aldemir who bet 7,000. Winter check-raised to 17,000 and Aldemir just called. The turn was the {4-Spades} and both players checked to the {10-Hearts} on the river.

Winter pushed in a bet of 33,000 and Aldemir moved all in for around 52,000. Winter instantly flung his cards sky-high across the table and the two players exchanged some words.

"I should have just called," Aldemir said as he gathered the chips.

"Did you have kings?" Winter asked.

"Yeah," Aldemir replied.

"Well, why would you just call then?"

"To see what you had," Aldemir finished with a smirk.

Bujtas Sends Silver to the Rail

After Hideki Izutsu made it 2,600 in the hijack, Max Silver three-bet shoved all in for just over 34,000 from the cutoff. Laszlo Bujtas was in the big blind and re-shoved all in over the top. Izutsu quickly folded and the two hands were tabled.

Laszlo Bujtas: {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}
Max Silver: {2-Hearts}{2-Clubs}

Silver was in desperate need of another deuce but the flop of {k-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{3-Hearts} was of no help. The {a-Spades} on the turn gave Silver a straight draw but the {j-Spades} on the river ended his tournament life.

Melika Razavi

Gambling - and poker - are banned in Iran. Beauty pageants are banned in Iran. Magic is banned in Iran. So how did Iranian Melika Razavi become a poker-playing magician who participates in beauty contests?

We wondered the same and we caught up with her during a break of the EPT Monte Carlo €5,300 Main Event, where Razavi is battling it out late on Day 3.

“Coming from that culture and background, it’s a big step for me to actually represent women in magic and being a beauty queen; I’m also a motivational speaker.”
