from the big blind.

Viktor Blom sat down with 30,000 in chips and, being Blom of course, quickly doubled up his starting stack. It was cause for celebration, and his left-hand neighbor Cesario Andrade joined in on the fun. The pair both ordered what appeared to be a gin-tonic to quench the thirst.
"You are my hero!" Andrade cheered, while Blom sipped stoically from his drink. Andrade then furiously shook Blom's hand and raised glasses with him.

For another player, Czech star Michal Mrakes, the biggest EPT Main Event of all time has come to an end at the start of level 9. Down to just 7,500 in chips, Mrakes open-shoved from early position and Nazarii Piznak reshoved on the button to get it heads-up.
