With late registration and re-entry open until the start of Day 2, we are expecting more players to join the field of the PokerStars European Poker Tour Barcelona €100,000 Super High Roller.

Yesterday there were 44 entrants, and after eight levels of play just 28 remain. Already confirmed as re-entering were Sergio Aido and Adrian Mateos, who were both eliminated last night. Aido lost a flip against Timothy Adams, with Mateos losing out with bottom pair against Richard Yong who held pocket sixes.

Leading the way is Ahadpur Khangah with a remarkable stack of 1,155,000 - almost twice the stack of fellow big stacks Pascal Lefrancois and David Peters.

Today there will be ten 60-minute levels, with a 75-minute dinner break after level 16. Stay tuned to PokerNews for all the action from Day 2.

Neves Ferreira Starts Well

Nível 9 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Until the river of a board {4-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}, a pot of around 50,000 had emerged and Rui Neves Ferreira checked out of the big blind. Timothy Adams bet 40,000 and Nick Petrangelo on the button called before Neves Ferreira check-raised to 150,000. Adams folded and Petrangelo used three time banks before eventually calling.

Neves Ferreira rolled over {K-Spades}{4-Spades} for a full house and scooped a decent pot.

Winter Doubles Through Sontheimer

Nível 9 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Following the elimination of Dietrich Fast, Sean Winter was moved to his space. He limped on the button and Steffen Sontheimer raised to 26,000. Daniel Negreanu folded his big blind and Winter called.

The flop came {3-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{q-Spades}. Sontheimer continued for 22,000 and Winter used a time extension before moving all in for 120,000. Sontheimer snap-called.

"Nothing," said Winter, tabling {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for a flush draw. Sontheimer turned over {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}. The turn was the {6-Hearts} but the river brought the {4-Clubs}, completing Winter's flush and doubling him up.

Another recent elimination was Sam Greenwood.

A total of 158 players out of a field of 3,287 returned to the Pau Casals room at Casino Barcelona for Day 2 of the 2018 PokerStars European Poker Tour Barcelona €550 EPT Cup and another Pineapple Flipout for the coveted Platinum Pass was up for grabs. The room was buzzing in preparation for Day 2 of the EPT Cup and the €100,000 Super High Roller, and all tables played one flipout to get to the semi-finals with two tables. Among those were also Jackson White, Yorane Kerignard and Antonina Anapolska, but neither of them was fortunate enough to win their second flip in a row.

In the first semi-final, Mickael Vongsouthi hit a flush with {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts} to book his seat for the heads-up duel, while Rolando Camardese claimed his spot with {A-Spades}{Q-Spades}. Vongsouthi and Camardese faced off in the final and it was Camardese, who hails from Maastricht in the Netherlands, that won his entry for the 2019 PokerStars Players No Limit Hold'em Championship (PSPC) on The Bahamas worth $30,000 in total.
