Chan Eliminated by Peters

Nível 8 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Wai Leong Chan
Wai Leong Chan

David Peters opened to 11,000 from the button. Sergio Aido called on the button and Wai Leong Chan defended his big blind. The {2-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{j-Hearts} flop checked to Aido who bet 14,000.

Chan then raised all in for 112,000 and Peters called. Aido got out of the way and the cards were turned over.

Wai Leong Chan: {j-Spades}{k-Diamonds}
David Peters: {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

Chan was dominated, and couldn't hit on the {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds} run out and he was eliminated.

Khangah Jams Into Loeliger; Takes Commanding Lead

Nível 8 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Picking up the action on the {10-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{4-Spades}{10-Spades} turn, Linus Loeliger checked and Ahadpur Khangah made it 50,000 to go, which Loeliger called. The online wizard from Switzerland then bet the {8-Hearts} river for 80,000 and the action was on Khangah.

"How much is it?" he asked, and the dealer replied with the amount. Barely two seconds passed and Khangah had announced all in with his tower of chips. Loeliger gave it just very brief consideration and mucked. That pot vaulted Khangah to what appears to be 900,000 and the chip lead in the final level of the night.

Overbet From Antonius Gets the Job Done

Nível 8 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

With just 60,000 in the middle on a {3-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{5-Clubs} board, Patrik Antonius bet 80,000 and Orpen Kisacikoglu used a time extension before calling.

Antonius showed {7-}{9-} for two pair and that was good enough to take down the pot.

Davies Eliminated by Smith

Nível 8 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Seth Davies
Seth Davies

Down to the last 75,500, Seth Davies open-shoved on the button and Dan Smith in the small blind asked for a count. Smith then announced all in himself, which forced out Cary Katz in the big blind.

Seth Davies: {A-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}
Dan Smith: {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}

The {9-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} flop gave Smith top set and Davies was already on the way out of his chair. However, the magical {3-Diamonds} on the turn gave him a massive sweat. It wouldn't last, as the {K-Hearts} river was a blank and Davies was eliminated early into the final level of Day 1. He immediately re-entered and drew the exact same seat for the second attempt.

Zinno Jams Into Winter

Nível 8 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Anthony Zinno raised it up to 8,500 just before the blinds went up and Sean Winter called from one seat over. On the {4-Hearts}{3-Spades}{2-Spades} flop, Zinno continued for 9,000 and Winter called. The {2-Clubs} on the turn brought a second barrel for 14,000 by Zinno and Winter called to see the {J-Spades} on the river.

Zinno slowed down and checked, prompting a bet of 58,000 by Winter. Zinno check-raised all in and Winter sent his cards into the muck. After the hand was over, Winter inquired what Zinno had and was given the simple reply "two spades."

Pollak Doubles Through Petrangelo

Nível 7 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

On a {q-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} turn Benjamin Pollak check-called a bet of 35,000 with 80,000 in the middle. He called and both he and opponent Nick Petrangelo saw a river which was the {a-Clubs}

Pollak checked and Petrangelo bet enough to put Pollak all in. Pollak called. Petrangelo showed {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades} but Pollak could beat that with {4-Spades}{6-Spades} for the nut straight.

Aido Chips Up Further

Nível 7 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Daniel Negreanu raised it up to 10,000 and was called three ways by Sergio Aido in the cutoff, Wai Leong Chan in the small blind and David Peters in the big blind. The flop brought {J-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} and it was Negreanu that bet 11,000, Aido and Chan were the only callers.

After the {K-Hearts} turn, Chan and Negreanu checked and Aido made it 26,000 to go. This resulted in a call from Chan and a fold from Negreanu. The {Q-Clubs} river was checked through and Chan tabled {J-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for a pair and busted flush draw, which Aido had beat with {K-Spades}{Q-Spades} for top two pair on a four-card straight board.

"Good bet, got me out," Negreanu nodded over to Aido.

Ali Reza Fatehi
Ali Reza Fatehi

On a {k-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{j-Clubs} turn, Seth Davies bet 40,000 and Ali Reza Fatehi raised all in for 82,500. Davies snap-called.

Seth Davies: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}
Ali Reza Fatehi: {k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

Fatehi exhaled seemingly in annoyance, but was relieved when the {q-Spades} came on the river making him two pair and securing his double up.
