Craziness Ensues on Table 18

Nível 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Martin McCormick calling Hajiyev's shove

The table of fun, entertainment, and a fair bit of straight up craziness just saw three epic hands to close out the night.

First, Martin McCormick, having just returned from his one-round penalty, raised under the gun to 15,000 and Renaud Desferet three-bet to 45,000. Fedor Holz made the call after which the small blind called as well, and McCormick went into the tank.

"I don't think I can call here," he said, before folding.

The flop brought out {7-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{7-Spades} and the action checked to Holz, who bet 50,000, and only Desferet made the call. On the turn the {2-Hearts} hit and Desferet check-called 83,000. The river was the {10-Spades} and after Desferet checked again, Holz looked over at his opponent before checking, and Desferet showed {K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}.

"That's fantastic," Holz said, looking annoyed with the showdown.

McCormick referenced to the fact that Desferet had a really strong hand, and Holz sighed, "I had a better hand than he had," implying he had pocket aces.

On the very next hand Ramin Hajiyev moved all in for his last 74,000 chips and McCormick counted out the call using just yellow T1,000 chips, before pushing the giant pile forward.

Hajiyev: {A-Spades}{9-Spades}
McCormick: {Q-Hearts}{10-Clubs}

The board ran out {9-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{J-Hearts} and Hajiyev found himself a double up.

Just when everyone thought the dust was going to settle down, another big hand happened between Hajiyev and McCormick. Hajiyev and McCormick had been going at it for hours, and finally the former got the better of the latter in a big pot.

McCormick and Hajiyev were heads up again and looking at a board of {10-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}. Hajiyev had placed a bet of 21,000 to lead on the turn. McCormick raised to 65,000 and didn’t want to give Hajiyev anytime to make his decision before calling the clock.

On a previous hand, Hajiyev had called the clock on McCormick and it led to him getting a one round penalty for berating Hajiyev afterward. McCormick was insisting that the clock be called on Hajiyev, but the floor let him know it hadn’t been long enough.

Eventually the floor called the clock and shortly after that Hajiyev shoved all in for 80,000 more. McCormick snap called. Hajiyev showed {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}.

“You’re good,” said McCormick showinng {7-Hearts}{4-Hearts} for a pair of sevens.

The {k-Hearts} on the river didn’t change anything and McCormick doubled Hajiyev again.
