A Couple of Raises

Early in level 1, most of the pots are small, but there are a lot of chances to set the pace for the rest of the day. On this hand, a player raised to 225 from middle position into defending PCA Main Event Champ Kevin Schulz's big blind. Schulz wasted little time before reraising to 800 and taking down the pot.
John Racener has been active early, on this hand the former WSOP Main Event runner-up saw a flop heads up for 300. He checked the flop and raised when his opponent bet 400. Racener made it 1,200 and that was enough to win the hand.
