The board didn't give Akkari anything he found useful, and Sammartino won the pot to send the Brazilian out the door in 33rd place — just two spots off the money.

Following the double up of Chalie Hook, the tournament staff announced that field would go to hand-for-hand play with 33 remaining. The top 31 spots were set to pay out, but because of the pace of play, the staff wanted to deter some from possible stalling.
From middle position, Chance Kornuth raised to 20,000. Dario Sammartino called from the cutoff seat, and Chalie Hook reraised all in for 63,000 from the button. Kornuth reshoved for over 700,000, and Sammartino folded.
