Steve O'Dwyer Eliminated in 10th Place (€20,400)

Nível 16 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante
Steve O'Dwyer
Steve O'Dwyer

From the cutoff, Charlie Carrel came in with a raise to 65,000. Steve O'Dwyer three-bet on the button to 195,000, and Carrel called to see a flop.

The flop was {7-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} and Carrel checked. O'Dwyer continued his agression with a bet of 295,000. Carrel didn't waste too much time before check-raising all in, which was effectively for O'Dwyer's total stack of 900,000. It took O'Dwyer merely one second to come to a decision.

"Call."

Just like that, a pot of over two million chips was created.

Charlie Carrel: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}
Steve O'Dwyer: {J-Spades}{J-Clubs}

Carrel was a slight favorite to win the hand, needing to hit an ace, queen or diamond. The {6-Diamonds} on the turn instantly decided it: Carrel made his flush, leaving O'Dwyer drawing dead.

The title defense of O'Dwyer came to an end in 10th place, cashing €20,400.

Palumbo Does It Again

Nível 16 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Directly after tripling up, Rocco Palumbo open-shoved for 370,000. Behzad Ahadpour reshoved all in from the small blind to put Palumbo again at risk.

Rocco Palumbo: {J-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Behzad Ahadpour: {K-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}

Slowly, the dealer fanned out the perfect flop for Palumbo: {K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{2-Hearts}!

"Oh my God!," gasped Ahadpour, who saw his chance to win the hand diminish just like that. The {8-Spades} on the turn sealed it, making the {A-Hearts} on the river meaningless. Palumbo went from 100,000 to 800,000 in the course of two hands.

Diego Zeiter Eliminated in 11th Place (€20,400)

Nível 16 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante
Diego Zeiter
Diego Zeiter

From the hijack, Diego Zeiter pushed all in for 131,000. Big blind Jakub Michalak called with {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades} but was trailing Zeiter's {J-Clubs}{J-Spades}. The board ran out {6-Hearts}{6-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{8-Diamonds} and Zeiter doubled up.

The next hand, he was under the gun and moved all in again, this time for 302,000. Cutoff Rocco Palumbo called all in for 100,000 exactly and button Adrian Mateos isolated all in over the top for 375,000. Both blinds released.

Rocco Palumbo: {Q-Hearts}{9-Spades}
Adrian Mateos: {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}
Diego Zeiter: {K-Hearts}{J-Hearts}

The board ran out {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{9-Clubs}{2-Spades}{8-Spades} and Palumbo won the main pot while Mateos grabbed the side pot.

Buddiga Gets A Lot From Carrel

Nível 16 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

The board read {10-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} and Pratyush Buddiga checked out of the blinds. Charlie Carrel bet 75,000 and Buddiga called.

On the {J-Diamonds} river, Buddiga elected to lead out for 125,000. Carrel considered his options, then put in a raise to 400,000. Buddiga snap-called it off.

Charlie Carrel: {Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts}
Pratyush Buddiga: {K-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}

Carrel's queen-high straight was no match for Buddiga's king-high flush. The American moved up to second place after the hand.

Flush Over Flush Results in Bubble Spot for Pasquale Grimaldi

Nível 15 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
Pasquale Grimaldi
Pasquale Grimaldi

He was the chipleader of the tournament just minutes ago, just slipping into what must have second place moments before the final hand. And now, it's all gone and one player has a truly massive stack.

Charlie Carrel was first to act and raised to 50,000. Big blind Pasquale Grimaldi called and the two both checked on {9-Spades}{K-Hearts}{A-Hearts}. So far, nothing exciting was happening.

The {Q-Hearts} hit the turn which made Grimaldi bet out 80,000. Carrel raised to, what we believe was, 200,000. Grimaldi answered with a shove and Carrel called all in for 976,000 total. Grimaldi had just 14,000 more than that and was in big trouble!

Pasquale Grimaldi: {7-Hearts}{6-Hearts}
Charlie Carrel: {9-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

There wasn't a card Grimaldi could hit, so no big show was made of the {2-Clubs} completing the board.

Grimaldi was all in blind from the small blind the next hand. As everyone folded, it was once again Carrel, now the big blind, he was facing.

Pasquale Grimaldi: {A-Spades}{4-Hearts}
Charlie Carrel: {K-Clubs}{5-Clubs}

Grimaldi was in the lead but the {K-Spades}{J-Spades}{7-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{5-Spades} decided otherwise. Grimaldi was the official bubble of the €10,300 Single-Day High Roller while Carrel was still busy stacking the biggest stack in the room.

Zeiter Getting Short

Nível 15 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Diego Zeiter is the short stack in this bubble phase and has just five big blinds left. The Argentinan moved in once, but got no callers.

Mortensen Shoves Again

Nível 15 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Steve O'Dwyer raised to 52,000 from the cutoff and Morten Mortenson went all in for 300,000 on the button. This time, O'Dwyer snap-folded his hand.

Behzad Ahadpour On a Rampage

Nível 15 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
Behzad Ahadpour
Behzad Ahadpour

While Behzad Ahadpour promised the table he would only play aces, kings, queens and ace-king (later ace-queen was also included), he has been raising just about every hand. The rest of the table is quick to fold most of the times.

Just now, Scott Seiver did call a raise, only to check on a flop of {Q-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}. Ahadpour pushed all in for 6 times the pot and showed the {9-Hearts} after Seiver folded. So it's safe to say Ahadpour is not playing just big cards. The table is laughing just about constantly, everyone is entertained by the antics of Ahadpour with Scott Seiver as his new best friend.

Still 12 players, still bubble, still hand for hand.
