Smith Runs Out of Fortune

Nível 19 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Dan Smith
Dan Smith

Dan Smith had doubled up twice, but eventually his luck would run out after shoving into the massive stack of Zvi Stern. The latter called with {A-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} and Smith had the dominated {A-Clubs}{4-Hearts}. The board ran out {10-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} and Smith asked "is that a chop?" with a sheepish smile on the face.

"Oh well, better ask," he laughed before heading to the rail.

Korotkikh Busts To Kolonias

Nível 19 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Mikhail Korotkikh got it all in with the {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}, but Alexandros Kolonias looked him up with the dominating {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}.

The {5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} flop left Kolonias with the best hand and Korotkikh out of chips.

Makhija Gives In To Stern

Nível 19 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Zvi Stern made it 25,000 and Amit Makhija shoved for not much more in the big blind.

It was Stern's {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} versus Makhija's {8-Clubs}{4-Spades} and king-high got even better on the {k-Spades}{5-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} board to send Makhija out.

Hajiyev Holds

Nível 19 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Dan Smith shoved the small blind and Ramin Hajiyev called in the big with the {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}.

Smith had just the {j-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and was left with only 7,000 in chips after the {3-Spades}{q-Spades}{k-Spades}{j-Clubs}{6-Clubs} board doubled Hajiyev.

Triple Doubles

Nível 19 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Heavy action around the room just saw three players double up.

First, Thomas Miller got it in with the {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades} versus Niall Farrell's {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}, finding a pair on the {5-Spades}{6-Spades}{k-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} board.

Then, Daniel Negreanu made it 27,000 and Imad Derwiche called. Rafael Da Silva Moraes shoved in with the {k-Spades}{k-Clubs} and only Derwiche called holding the {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}. The board ran out {8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{3-Spades} to give Da Silva Moraes the double.

Finally, a short stacked Dan Smith got it in with the {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} and Amit Makhija called on the {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}. The {k-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{q-Clubs} board gave Smith the double and left Makhija short.

Second Barrel by Schillhabel Works

Nível 19 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Stefan Schillhabel raised from the button and was called by Thomas Miller and Niall Farrell in the blinds. On the {8-Spades}{7-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop, both players in the blinds folded to Schillhabel and then called the continuation bet worth 22,000. The {J-Spades} turn triggered yet another two checks, but this time Schillhabel's bet of 60,000 did the trick and he claimed the pot uncontested.

Yaroshevskyy Busts to Papazian

Nível 19 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Igor Yaroshevskyy
Igor Yaroshevskyy

Igor Yaroshevskyy pushed his short stack of 79,000 in the middle of the table and Alexandru Papazian announced the call from two seats over, cutting out a stack of T-5,000 chips. All other players folded and Yaroshevskyy was at risk with the worse kicker.

Yaroshevskyy: {A-Hearts}{J-Clubs}
Papazian: {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}

The board ran out {Q-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{3-Spades}{8-Clubs}{9-Spades} and that was it for the Ukrainian, there will now be a short break to redraw the last three tables.

Luca Loses to Kaverman; Not Zhou

Nível 19 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Ivan Luca
Ivan Luca

Ivan Luca pushed for 65,000 and Quan Zhou called from the hijack before the action reached Byron Kaverman on the button. He pushed for 232,000 and Zhou asked for a count. The calling chips were pulled into the pot and Zhou had another 167,000 to call, standing up from his chair to make up the mind.

The clock was called on him and Zhou eventually folded the {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}.

Luca: {Q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Kaverman: {K-Spades}{Q-Clubs}

The board ran out {J-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{2-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} and Luca was eliminated in 26th place, though Zhou would have knocked out two opponents if he had called.

Papazian Next Chip Millionaire

Nível 19 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

On the {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} flop, Alexandru Papazian bet 41,000 from under the gun and Mikhail Korotkikh raised to 100,000 from the button. The Romanian called and they both chedked through the {Q-Clubs} turn. After the {7-Hearts} river, Papazian bet 125,000 and was called to show {10-Clubs}{10-Spades} as winning hand, Korotkikh had pocket nines.
