Hands #28-30: Schemion Calls With Ace-High and Takes the Lead

Nível 19 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Hand #28: Under the gun Igor Kurganov opened for 120,000 holding {K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}. In the big blind Paul Newey found {A-Spades}{5-Spades} and thought about it for a bit before calling. The flop came {K-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{J-Spades}, favoriting Kurganov. Newey check folded to his 100,000 continuation bet.

Hand #29: Under the gun Fatehi found {Q-Spades}{2-Spades} and he made it 125,000. Newey folded {A-Clubs}{8-Clubs}, big blind Kurganov called with {K-Hearts}{10-Clubs}. The flop came {5-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and Kurganov check folded to the 150,000 continuation bet.

Hand #30: From the cutoff, Schemion raised to 130,000 holding {A-Clubs}{2-Spades}. Fatehi defended his big blind with {K-Clubs}{4-Clubs}. The flop came {10-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{8-Clubs} and Fatehi lead out for 125,000 into 350,000 with his flush draw. Schemion called in position.

The {5-Diamonds} hit the turn, doing nothing for Fatehi while Schemion picked up a gutshot on top of his already leading ace-high. Fatehi bet 230,000 and Schemion called again.

The river {10-Hearts} was effectively a blank and Fatehi bet 340,000 into 1,110,000. Schemion called with ace-high and showed the best hand.
