No Back-To-Back for Niall Farrell

Nível 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Niall Farrell
Niall Farrell

Onur Unsal opened for 35,000 from early position and Niall Farrell on the button three-bet to 86,000. Both blinds released and Unsal made the call.

Unsal check called a bet of 69,000 on {A-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{3-Spades} and check called another 102,000 on the {6-Spades} turn. The river came the {4-Hearts} and Unsal checked again. Farrell thought about it for a bit before he checked behind. Unsal showed {A-Spades}{10-Spades} and Farrell mucked.

Not much later it was Foeke Deinum who opened the hijack for 36,000. Niall Farrell in the cutoff moved all in for 207,000 and both blinds quickly folded. Deinum asked for a count, and made the call.

Foeke Deinum: {K-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}
Niall Farrell: {K-Hearts}{J-Clubs}

"That wasn't the hand I wanted to see" Farrell said with a smile to Deinum. "But you're good at these right?" Deinum said with a smile. "I am pretty good at these yeah" Farrell answered. And before you knew it, Farrell had a big smile on his face as he saw the flop: {J-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}.

Deinum pointed at his {Q-Diamonds} and Farrell's smile was gone; "Ow %*#!, I didn't see the diamonds!"

The {Q-Clubs} on the turn wasn't a diamond but it was evenly bad news for Farrell. "That's a boring way to get there. At least I have two clean outs" Farrell said.

The {6-Clubs} on the river wasn't one of the two remaining jacks in the deck Farrell needed, and he made his way to the exit. No back to back for the Irishman, we're going to crown a new EPT champion here in Prague.

Farrell Folds Top Set

Nível 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Niall Farrell
Niall Farrell

As we arrived over on table 8 Niall Farrel had just bet around 40,000 on a flop of {6-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{2-Clubs} from the cutoff. His neighbor Marc MacDonnell on the button made the call.

Farrell bet another 138,000 on the {8-Diamonds} turn and again MacDonnell called.

The {4-Clubs} completed the board and Farrell carefully cut out 250,000 and slid them forward. MacDonnell thought for just 10 seconds and then moved all in.

"So frustrating! I fold!" Farrell said while open mucking his {J-Spades}{J-Hearts}, "So %$#*! frustrating!" MacDonnell didn't show and just collected the chips.

Ramin Hajiyev
Ramin Hajiyev

Ramin Hajiyev moved in for his last 63,000 from early position. It was Tomas Pleticha in the cutoff who was the one calling and putting the Azerbaijani high roller at risk.

Ramin Hajiyev: {Q-Diamonds}{J-Spades}
Tomas Pleticha: {K-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}

The board ran out {K-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{8-Spades}{9-Hearts}{K-Spades} and without much drama, Hajiyev made his exit in 45th place for €16,200. Just last week he finished 3rd in the €25,000 High Roller for €250,900, so its a good week for Hajiyev.

Kitty Kuo Cashes In Third Consecutive EPT Main Event

Nível 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Kitty Kuo
Kitty Kuo

Kitty Kuo got it in with {Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades} before the flop from early position for around 400,000 and found an opponent in Sebastien Gohr. Gohr on the button had {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts} and came out on top after the board came {3-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{7-Spades}{A-Spades}{10-Hearts}.

Kitty Kuo cashed in both the EPT Barcelona (89th for €15,600) and EPT Malta (16th for €27,120) and cashed here today in 47th place (€16,200). It wasn't her first time cashing in three consecutive EPT's, back in 2013 she did the exact same thing (115th in Barcelona for €11,350, 41st in London for £11,425, 144th in Prague for €8,600). She's only the second player to ever do that, PokerStars Team Pro Johnny Lodden was the first.

Gavin O'Rourke
Gavin O'Rourke

Andrea Cortellazzi played two million-chip pots over the span of two orbits, but after winning the first he just lost the second one against Gavin O'Rourke. Cortellazzi raised under the gun to 22,000 and after one players called, O'Rourke three-bet to 65,000 from the cutoff.

The action folded back to the Italian player and he moved all in for 508,000 effectively. O'Rourke called to risk his tournament life, and the showdown went as follows.

O'Rourke: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}
Cortellazzi: {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}

The board ran out {3-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{J-Hearts} and O'Rourke found himself raking in over a million chips, while Cortellazzi was left behind with just 370,000.

Andrea Cortellazzi
Andrea Cortellazzi

Andrea Cortellazzi is the most cheery guy in the room as he just doubled up holding pocket aces against Vlado Banicevic's kings. After unknown action preflop Cortellazzi ended up all in for 501,000 and the showdown went as follows.

Cortellazzi: {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}
Banicevic: {K-Spades}{K-Hearts}

The board ran out {Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{8-Spades} and Cortellazzi jumped out his seat, cheering loudly as he took a huge chunk out of Banicevic's stack.

Jacques Torbey Eliminated

Ivan Deyra
Ivan Deyra

Jacques Torbey opened for 25,000 from the cutoff and Ivan Deyra in the small blind three-bet to 72,000. Torbey made the call and both players checked the flop of {4-Clubs}{8-Spades}{J-Diamonds}. The {7-Clubs} fell on the turn and Deyra bet out 75,000. Torbey shoved all in for 272,000 and Deyra made the call after a little bit of a tank.

Ivan Deyra: {A-Spades}{J-Spades}
Jacques Torbey: {K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}

The river {6-Hearts} was as blank as they could come and Torbey hit the rail.

Ivan Demidov Eliminated

Nível 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Ivan Demidov
Ivan Demidov

Ori Miller opened to 23,000 from middle position and his neighbor Ilkin Amirov in the hijack made the call (with 241,000 behind). The cutoff folded but Ivan Demidov on the button squeezed to 60,000 with 296,000 behind. Both blinds folded and action was back on Miller. He thought about it for a bit, asked how much Demidov had behind approximately, and then moved in.

Amirov folded right away and Demidov instantly shrugged. "I could have folded if I hadn't three-bet 3 times in a row" he said as he moved a couple of chips over the line to call.

Ivan Demidov: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}
Ori Miller: {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts}

Demidov would never see those 36 big blinds again as he came up short improving: {8-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}.

Demidov out in 66th place, good for €13,720. With Demidov's departure, there now are no longer PokerStars Team Pro's active in the tournament.

Day 4 Starts at Noon!

Sam Chartier is one of the regulars still in, he has 817,000 in chips
Sam Chartier is one of the regulars still in, he has 817,000 in chips

Day 4 of the 2015 PokerStars EPT Season 12 Prague €5,300 Main Event starts at 12 am (in 1 hour and 45 minutes) with 67 players still in contention for the title. The plan is to play down to 16 players or the end of level 24, whichever comes faster according to the structure sheet (.PDF). The first of five 90-minute levels will be 5,000/10,000 with a 1,000 ante.

Leading the field is Abbas Moradi with 1,384,000 in chips. There's a total of 6 players with a million in chips or more; Preben Stokkan (1,175,000), Hossein Ensan (1,127,000), Vlado Banicevic (1,096,000), Samuel Vousden (1,010,000) and Ori Miller (1,000,000).

On the bottom of the list of chip counts we find Dutch EPT regular Clyde Tjauw Foe. In the last level of the night he found himself all in with a set versus an open ended on the turn, and he couldn't fade the 10 for the pot worth almost a million. Tjauw Foe starts the day with just 79,000, 8 big blinds.

Russian Ivan Demidov is the sole PokerStars Team Pro left in the field after both Matthias De Meulder and Johnny Lodden got eliminated on Day 3 yesterday. Demidov brings 154,000 to the table at noon, so he got his work cut out for him as well.

PokerNews.com will be with you the entire way, from the first flop till the last river. Also, don't forget it's the start of the €10,000 High Roller today - a tournament we'll be covering as well.
