Castanola: {5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}

Pyzara Not a Believer

Nível 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

With 50,000 in the pot and a flop of {3-Spades}{2-Hearts}{10-Clubs}, Kacper Pyzara checked and Jacques Torbey bet a massive 300,000. Pyzara, who only had 126,000 back, seemed perplexed.

"I said if there was no ace" Torbey said. Pyzara wasn't buying it and spiked in his chips.

Pyzara: {6-Spades}{6-Hearts}
Torbey: {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}

It was a good call by Pyzara, but he still needed to dodge Torbey's overs. He did so on the {9-Diamonds} turn, and then again on the {4-Diamonds} river.

Bad Beat Sends Paris to the Rail

Nível 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Bryan Paris
Bryan Paris

"All in and a call," a dealer called.

We made our way over to discover a preflop raising war resulted in Bryan Paris getting his stack of 325,000 all in way ahead of the start-of-the-day chip leader, Gleb Tremzin.

Tremzin: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}
Paris: {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}

Paris was a huge favorite, but the {8-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} flop gave Tremzin a huge heart sweat. The {k-Clubs} turn wasn't what he was looking for — though it gave him two more outs — but the {6-Hearts} river was!

Paris slapped his fist down on the table, clearly frustrated by the bad beat.

Visser Falls To Vousden

Nível 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Ruben Visser
Ruben Visser

Former EPT London winner Ruben Visser has been knocked out, and he told us what happened.

"I raised to 75,000," Visser laughed, as he committed most of his chips without shoving all in.

Samuel Vousden was the only caller of Visser's big raise, and the flop brought out {K-}{6-}{10-}.

Visser moved all in for his last 55,000 chips or so, and Vousden called.

Visser: {A-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}
Vousden: {J-}{J-}

The turn was the {10-} and the river the {9-}, sending the Dutchman home in 77th place for €11,540.

Astapau Misses Flush and Straight Draw

Nível 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Action folded to Javier Gomez in the small blind and he glanced at his cards. "You said you were gonna play tight. This is a nice spot to give me a walk" said Anton Astapau from the big blind.

Instead of giving him a walk, Gomez limped in. Astapau raised to 24,000 and Gomze made the call.

The flop came {3-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} and Gomez check called a bet of 19,000. The Spaniard check called another 48,000 on the {6-Diamonds} turn.

The river came the {7-Spades} and Gomez checked.

"It's very unfortunate, but I have to give this one up" Astapau said as he checked behind. Gomez tabled {3-Clubs}{4-Clubs} and Astapau mucked. Because someone asked his {5-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} was revealed.

Kicker Issue for Zawadzki

Nível 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Mikolaj Zawadzki got his short stack all in preflop and found himself in big trouble against Iaron Lightbourne.

Zawadzki: {a-Diamonds}{8-Spades}
Lightbourne: {a-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}

The {7-Spades}{9-Spades}{3-Spades} flop made things interesting by pairing Lightbourne and giving Zawadzki a flush draw. The {2-Diamonds} turn was a blank, and so to was the {K-Diamonds} river. Zawadzki missed and has been eliminated from the tournament.

Greenwood Runs into Kings

Nível 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Sam Greenwood
Sam Greenwood

Sam Greenwood has just been knocked out by Samuel Vousden, who's now sitting on seven figures in the last level of the day. Former EPT London winner Ruben Visser recapped the hand for us, as we arrived on the scene as Greenwood headed for the exit.

Vousden raised to 17,000 under the gun plus one, and one player called before the action folded to Greenwood in the small blind. Greenwood shoved for about 130,000 and Vousden called, after which the third player folded.

Vousden: {K-}{K-}
Greenwood: {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}

The board ran out {7-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{7-Spades} and Greenwood was knocked out. The trip to Prague has been good so far for the Canadian pro, as he finished second in the €50,000 Super High Roller for €583,500.

Miller The Millionaire

Nível 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Ori Miller
Ori Miller

Ori Miller has given himself a realistic shot at the €921,540 first place prize here in the European Poker Tour Prague Main Event, although Lady Luck played a major role in his meteoric rise to one million chips.

Miller came out best of a three-way all-in involving Elena Stover and Adrien Mateos despite getting his chips in with the second best hand.

Mateos, winner of the 2013 World Series of Poker Europe Main Event, was all-in with {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}, Stover the {K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} and Miller needing some help from the board as he held {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}. Help did arrive in the shape of a queen on the {6-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{4-Clubs} flop, improving him to a set. The {4-Diamonds} turn meant Mateos was eliminated and he stood from his seat, and when the {8-Spades} landed on the turn, Stover’s tournament also ended.

Deinum Catches a Miracle River

Nível 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Iliodoros Kamatakis just raised from the button and Dutchman Foeke Deinum moved all in from the small blind for 128,000. Kamatakis snap-called after the big blind folded, and the showdown went as follows.

Kamatakis: {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades}
Deinum: {4-Spades}{4-Hearts}

The board ran out {2-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{4-Clubs}, as Kamatakis cried out, "No!" after the river hit. Deinum hit a set on the river to double up, and he's now right back in it.

"Prague is good for me," Deinum said to us with a big smile, "I didn't see that coming," he then added as he stacked up his newly won chips.
