Andreas Chalkiadakis Loses the Most Important Flip

Nível 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Andreas Chalkiadakis (middle position) and Kitty Kuo (big blind) got their chips in the middle before the flop. It was an unavoidable collision of big hands as Chalkiadakis showed {A-Hearts}{K-Spades} while Kuo held {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts}.

The {Q-Clubs} in the window already made Kuo the heavy favorite, and the rest of the board didn't change that anymore: {Q-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}. Chalkiadakis busted in 31st place, netting him €15,620.

Bad Beat Sends Muehloecker to the Rail

Nível 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Thomas Muehloecker
Thomas Muehloecker

Action folded to Rainer Kempe in the small blind and he simply moved all in to put the pressure on a short-stacked Thomas Muehloecker in the big. The Austrian thought long and hard before eventually calling off for roughly 135,000.

Muehloecker: {k-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
Kempe: {k-Hearts}{3-Hearts}

Both players held a king, but Muehloecker's kicker made him a huge favorite. That all changed though as the {3-Clubs}{7-Spades}{5-Clubs} flop paired Kempe. Muehloecker needed a king, but it didn't come as the {Q-Hearts} blanked on the turn followed by the {2-Hearts} on the river.

Muehloecker took home €13,730 for his 32nd-place finish.

Chemi Doubles

Nível 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Apostolos Bechrakis opened the button for 22,000 and Antonio Chemi shoved from the small blind for 110,000. Erik Scheidt in the big blind called, Bechrakis folded.

Antonio Chemi: {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}
Erik Scheidt: {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}

The board came {10-Spades}{A-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} and Chemi fist pumped to celebrate his double up.

Alen Bilic Rivers a Straight

Nível 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

We caught the action with the board already entirely out: {9-Spades}{6-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{Q-Spades}. Mikael Jean had checked from the big blind and Alen Bilic in the hijack bet 82,000. Jean tanked for a bit and called, but was beat out by Bilic's rivered straight with {10-Hearts}{J-Spades}. Jean showed {8-Hearts}{2-Hearts} for a failed hero call and Bilic raked in the chips.

[Removed:563] Takes Huge Pot Off Ivarsson

Nível 20 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

On a 327 flop, [Removed:563] checked from early position and then called when Alexander Ivarsson bet roughly 50,000 from the button. [Removed:563] checked for a second time on the 5 turn, and called again when Ivarsson bet, this time 150,000.

When the 8 completed the board on the river, [Removed:563] checked and Ivarsson used two hands to slide out a big bet of 385,000. [Removed:563] thought about it for over a minute before tossing in a chip. Ivarsson had been bluffing with the A9, and [Removed:563] tabled the QQ to take down the large pot.

Chemi Has More Time Left

Nível 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Mike "Timex" McDonald raised to 22,000 only to have Italy's Antonio Chemi three-bet all in to 70,000. McDonald made the call and was a big underdog.

Chemi: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
McDonald: {q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}

Despite being a heavy favorite, Chemi was clearly nervous, standing from the table and shifting his weight back and forth. The {j-Spades}{8-Spades}{3-Hearts} flop gave McDonald a sweat, but neither the {4-Hearts} turn nor {9-Hearts} river was the jack he was looking for. Ship the double to Chemi.

WSOP Bracelet Winner Ivan Luca Flips for Tournament Life

Nível 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Ivan Luca
Ivan Luca

Shannon Shorr opened for 22,000 from middle position and Argentina's Ivan Luca, who won a World Series of Poker gold bracelet this summer, moved all in for 198,000 from the button. The blinds both folded and Shorr opted to put most of his stack at risk wit ha call.

Shorr: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Luca: {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

It was a flip, but Luca needed to improve to stay alive. The {j-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} flop didn't do much for him, though the {K-Hearts} turn did give him a gutshot. Unfortunately for him, the {J-Hearts} river was a blank and he had to settle for 33rd place.

Bryn Kenney Busts With Kings to Ace-King

Nível 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Bryn Kenney
Bryn Kenney

Bryn Kenney and Erik Scheidt got their chips in the middle before the flop, and their stacks were close. Kenney was just slightly dominated chip wise, but was dominating cards wise:

Bryn Kenney: {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}
Erik Scheidt: {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}

The flop was good for Scheidt though with {A-Spades}{6-Hearts}{5-Clubs}, leaving Kenney just a single card to hope for. The {2-Spades} on the turn and {9-Spades} on the river were blanks, and Kenney made his exit in 34th place, good for €13,730.

Apostolos Bechrakis Eliminated Pierre Chevalier

Nível 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

A hijack raise to 22,000 by Pierre Chevalier was followed by a three bet to 65,000 by Apostolos Bechrakis from the blinds. Chevalier shoved all in for around 400,000, Bechrakis was quick to call.

Pierre Chevalier: {A-Spades}{K-Hearts}
Apostolos Bechrakis: {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}

The board ran out {6-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{K-Spades}{5-Spades}{Q-Spades} and Chevalier hit the rail.

Bahna Busts in 37th Place

Nível 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Action folded to a short-stacked Hani Bahna in the small blind, and he moved all in for his last 45,000. Alen Bilic had chips to spare and made the call from the big.

Bilic: {q-Clubs}{7-Spades}
Bahna: {k-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}

Bahna got it in good, but the {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}{9-Clubs} flop was huge for Bilic. The {6-Diamonds} turn left Bahna drawing dead, and he made his way to the payout desk in 37th place after the {A-Diamonds} was put out on the river.
