Nível 11 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Piotr Franczak checked the {K-Spades}{2-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop to Igor Kurganov. Kurganov bet 35,000, and Mike McDonald called. Then, Franczak check-raised to 85,000. Kurganov took his time and then reraised to 135,000. McDonald made the call after some thought, then Franczak folded.

The turn was the {A-Clubs}, and Kurganov studied before he made it 170,000 to go. McDonald eventually made the call, and the dealer placed out the {7-Diamonds} on the river. Kurganov bet 150,000, and McDonald called.

Kurganov tabled the {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds} for top two pair, and McDonald mucked.

Urbanovich Is Doing It Again

Nível 11 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Dzmitry Urbanovich on Day 1
Dzmitry Urbanovich on Day 1

Dzmitry Urbanovich, who's not 21 yet, had an impressive string of results during Season 11 of the European Poker Tour, and for now it looks as though he's going to continue the trend in Season 12.

Right now, Urbanovich sits on 850,000 in chips after he got some nice value from Adrian Mateos on the river. The board showed {4-Spades}{2-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{9-Spades}{2-Diamonds}, and Urbanovich tossed out a bet of 75,000. Mateos called after quite a bit of tanking, but quickly mucked when he saw Urbanovich table the {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}.

Loosli Loses Lots

Nível 11 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Catching up with the action on a board of {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{8-Clubs}, Sylvain Loosli had a bet of 75,000 in front of him and Steve O'Dwyer had a raise to 195,000 in front of him. Loosli made the call.

The {K-Clubs} fell on the turn, and both players checked to see the {7-Diamonds} complete the board on the river. O'Dwyer bet 315,000, and Loosli called with the {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades}. But, O'Dwyer's had come from behind to make a full house with the {K-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}, and he won the pot.

Mironiuk Busts Thorel in Big Pot

Nível 11 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Carlos Mironiuk
Carlos Mironiuk

A huge cheer came from Carlos Mironiuk a few tables away from where our reporters were situated. By the time we arrived on the scene, a large pot was being pushed to Mironiuk, and the man from Argentina, who qualified in the live satellite two days ago, now has one of the largest stacks in the room.

According to Sam Greenwood, a player had raised, Mironiuk three-bet from the button, and then Jean-Noel Thorel shoved all in for 350,000 or so. The action folded back to Mironiuk, and he made the call with pocket kings. Thorel had {A-}{J-}, and the board ran out {8-}{7-}{10-}{5-}{4-} to knock Thorel out.

Stern Loses to Egan in Seven-Figure Pot

Nível 11 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Dani Stern
Dani Stern

After a raise to 24,000, it was Dani Stern three-betting to 68,000 from the cutoff seat. Michael Egan was in the small blind and he cold four-bet to 147,000. Play folded back to Stern and he thought about it for a bit before moving all in for around 500,000. Egan made the call to create a huge, seven-figure pot.

Stern showed the {J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}, while Egan had the {Q-Clubs}{Q-Spades}.

The dealer spread the {J-Spades}{5-Spades}{8-Spades} to give Stern the lead with top set of jacks, but Egan still had a flush draw and a chance to hit a higher set. The turn was the {10-Spades} to give Egan that flush, and now all the Australian needed to do was dodge the board pairing on the river.

When the {2-Spades} hit the river, Egan's hand was best with a queen-high flush, and Stern was sent off to the rail.

Egan now boasts a stack of 1.5 million in chips.
