Shafikov Eclipses the 5-Million Mark

Nível 28 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

From the cutoff it was start-of-the-day chip leader Peter Eichhardt who raised to 145,000 and Denys Shafikov three-bet from the button to 325,000.

Eichhardt gave it some thought, but eventually he made the call.

The flop brought out {7-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{7-Hearts} and Eichhardt check-called a bet of 300,000. On the turn the {6-Diamonds} hit and this time Eichhardt check-folded to a bet of 580,000.

This pot now puts Shafikov over five million, and he's the first to reach this level.

Jensen Triple Barrels Chips Away

Nível 27 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

As we arrived the flop was already out: {3-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{K-Diamonds}. Mario Sanchez Cano checked from the big blind and Frederik Jensen bet out 140,000 from the cutoff. Steven Warburton on the button made the call, Cano folded. Jensen bet another 270,000 on the {6-Hearts} turn and Warburton again called.

So far the hand had gone remarkably fast, but Warburton needed some more time on the {A-Clubs} river. Jensen fired a third bullet worth 575,000 and Warburton sighed a little and leaned back. He tanked for some time before tossing in a single 5,000 chip to call.

Jensen quickly showed {5-Hearts}{J-Hearts} for nothing, Warburton tabled {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts} for the winner.

From the button Oleksii Khoroshenin raised to 100,000 and Sebastian Tejada called from the small blind. The flop came down {A-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} and Tejada check-called 125,000.

On the turn the {6-Clubs} hit and both players checked.

The river was the {2-Hearts} and Khoroshenin fired another 340,000 when Tejada checked to him. After a while Tejada folded and Khoroshenin raked in the pot, after having lost quite a bit in this level early on.
