Antonio Esfandiari Eliminated in 4th Place ($575,920)

Nível 20 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante
Antonio Esfandiari - 4th Place
Antonio Esfandiari - 4th Place

Vanessa Selbst opened to 160,000 on the button with {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}. Antonio Esfandiari woke up with {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts} in the big blind, quickly three-betting to 430,000, and Selbst asked for a count.

Esfandiari counted his remaining stacks with his finger and said that he had 1.9 million behind his three-bet. Selbst closed her eyes while thinking, riffling chips with her right hand, then reached for more green T25,000 chips. She slid out a four-bet of 780,000, Esfandiari moved all in, and Selbst instantly called.

Get on your horses, it's race time!

Esfandiari popped up from his chair and started to give the dealer a massage.

"Please," he said, shaking the man. "Please."

The flop fell {2-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}, giving Selbst a wheel draw and a backdoor flush draw, but Selbst needed neither. The {a-Diamonds} spiked on the turn, giving the Team PokerStars Pro a leading pair of aces, and the {5-Clubs} bricked off on the river.

Esfandiari is out in fourth place, earning $575,920, while Selbst now has over seven million chips.

One For Esfandiari

Nível 20 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Antonio Esfandiari made it 165,000 from under the gun with {J-Clubs}{8-Clubs} and Fabian Quoss flatted from the button with {A-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}. The {J-Hearts} hit the turn, giving Esfandiari the lead with a pair of jacks. Both players checked and the {2-Hearts} completed the board. Esfandiari cut out a bet of 360,000 and Quoss let it go.

Quoss Flops an Ace

Nível 20 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Fabian Quoss completed from the small blind {a-Spades}{3-Diamonds}, Vanessa Selbst raised to 215,000 out of the big blind with {6-Spades}{6-Clubs}, and Quoss made the call.

The dealer spread a flop of {9-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}, giving Quoss a leading pair of aces, and he knuckled. Selbst tapped her shoulder, checking behind.

The turn was a blank, the {10-Diamonds}, and Quoss checked again. Selbst knuckled again.

The {q-Spades} completed the board, Quoss tossed out 250,000, and Selbst tank-folded.

Dan Shak raised to 175,000 on the button holding {5-Spades}{5-Clubs}. Fabian Quoss defended his big blind with {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}, and the flop fell {3-Clubs}{q-Spades}{10-Clubs}, giving the German flush and straight draws.

Quoss checked, Shak continued for 225,000, and Quoss called. Quoss then led out for 500,000 when the {10-Spades} turned, and Shak reached for green T25,000 chips. He thought for a minute or so, then called.

The {a-Spades} completed the board, missing Quoss’ draws once again, and both players checked. Shak tabled his hand triumphantly, raking in the pot, and Quoss gave a small chuckle.

Ole Schemion Eliminated in 7th Place ($277,080); Tony Gregg Eliminated in 6th Place ($347,720)

Nível 19 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante
Tony Gregg - 6th Place
Tony Gregg - 6th Place

Ole Schemion was under the gun and moved all in for his last 260,000. Tony Gregg re-shipped over the top for 390,000 and Fabian Quoss called from the button. Quoss had both players covered heading to the community cards.

Quoss: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}
Gregg: {A-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}
Schemion: {K-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}

The flop came down {Q-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{2-Spades} and Quoss' pocket tens stayed out in the lead. The {2-Diamonds} hit fourth street and gave Quoss a full house of deuces full of tens, leaving Schemion searching for a king on the river and Gregg looking for an ace or the case deuce. The river was the {9-Spades} resulting in a double elimination.

As Schemion began the hand with fewer chips, he becomes the seventh place finisher and Gregg will collect sixth-place prize money.
