Jens Lakemeier Eliminated in 13th Place (€29,250)

Nível 19 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Jens Lakemeier - 13th Place
Jens Lakemeier - 13th Place

Jens Lakemeier was short and moved all in from late position and was looked up by Alex Bilokur in the small blind.

Lakemeir had made his move with {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts} and was fairly resigned when he saw he had been called by the {a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} of Bilokur. He tried a bit of reverse psychology by wishing Bilokur “Good luck.”

The cards ran out {6-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{9-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

Lakemeier was out with just one hour maximum remaining of today’s play.

Slow Going

Nível 19 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

The chips were really flying there for awhile, but here in the closing quarter of Level 19, things have slowed down a bit. The blinds should be going up in a few minutes, which will undoubtedly put some pressure on the shorter stacks.

Lunkin is a Man of Mystery

Nível 19 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Anatoly Filatov opened the action from the hijack, which prompted a three-bet from Vitaly Lunkin in the cutoff. The rest of the field folded, Filatov four-bet to 130,000, and Lunkin made the call, which brought about a flop of {8-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}.

Filatov was first to act and bet 80,000, which Lunkin called. After the dealer burned and turned the {10-Clubs}, Filatov led out for 110,000 and Lunkin immediately announced that he was all in for 476,000. Filatov seemed tortured by the resistance, and he tanked a solid four minutes before releasing his hand.

Lunkin then turned over just the {A-Hearts}, and a look of bewilderment crossed Filatov's face.

Jonas Kronwitter Eliminated in 14th Place (€26,600)

Nível 19 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Jonas Kronwitter
Jonas Kronwitter

Jonas Kronwitter was down to his last 180,000 having lost a decent portion of his stack in the previous hand where he had got to the river against Alex Bilokur and folded to his bet.

When it was folded to Kronwitter in the Hi-jack he shoved the remaining chips in and got a call from Oleh Okhotskyi. Kronwitter had a pair {4-Hearts}{4-Spades} but unfortunately for him so did Okhotskyi tabling the {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}.

The dealer dealt {6-Spades}{5-Hearts}{8-Spades}{j-Spades}{8-Clubs} and the High Roller adventure for Kronwitter was at an end.

Jonathan Karamalikis Eliminated in 15th Place (€26,600)

Nível 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Jonathan Karamalikis - 15th Place
Jonathan Karamalikis - 15th Place

Anatoly Filatov open shoved the small blind into big blind Jonathan Karamalikis who woke up with a hand and called with his {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}. Filatov had {10-Spades}{8-Spades} but had Karamalikis easily covered.

The cards ran out {q-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{q-Spades}. Filatov hit on the turn and Karamalikis was sent packing.

Soulier Doubles Again

Nível 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Fabrice Soulier got his stack of 227,000 all in preflop holding the {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades} and was in great shape to double against the {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts} of Fady Kamar. However, the {2-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{8-Clubs} flop made things interesting as Kamar picked up the nut flush draw.

Soulier was clearly tense, and he breathed a big sigh of relief when both the {8-Diamonds} turn and {7-Diamonds} river failed to give Kamar what he was looking for.

"It was going to be the same story on the flop anyway," Soulier commented after the hand.
