Goeller Doubles Through Westmorland

Nível 24 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

From the hijack Jordan Westmorland opened for 50,000. Andreas Goeller on the button shoved allin for 278,000 and both blinds folded. Westmorland made the call, time for yet another show down.

Jordan Westmorland: {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}
Andreas Goeller: {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}

The {4-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{7-Clubs} flop didn't make things overly exciting. The {5-Clubs} could have made things interesting, but instead the {10-Hearts} turned up for the turn. The {3-Clubs} on the river completed the board, double up for Goeller.

Nuutinen Crippled

Nível 24 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante
Bruno Stefanelli
Bruno Stefanelli

Jeffrey Hakim opened for 48,000 and Jorma Nuutinen raised on the button to 112,000. Bruno Stefanelli then made it 205,000 from the big blind and when Hakim folded Nuutinen raised again to 322,000.

Stefanelli thought for a few minutes and Stephen Chidwick called the clock on him. Before the minute was up though Stefanelli made the call.

They saw a flop of {5-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{5-Spades}. Stefanelli checked and when Nuutinen bet 180,000 Stefanelli moved al in for 596,000. Nuutinen sighed and made the call. He was out of his chaoir when he saw what Stefanelli tabled.

Stefanelli {j-Hearts}{j-Spades}

Nuutinen {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}

The turn {3-Clubs} and river {q-Spades} meant that Stefanelli’s flopped set stayed good and he won a huge pot to leave Nuutinen on fumes.

Chidwick Unopposed

Nível 24 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

Stephen Chidwick has been opening by far the most pots on the second feature table and so far no one has been prepared to take him on. He has been able to regularly steal the blinds and antes to steadily accumulate a succession of small pots without any great risk to his own stack.

Team PokerStars Pro Alex Kravchenko remains the tightest player on the table, patiently waiting for his spot.

Nuutinen Shoving

Nível 24 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

After his disastrous start with the kings Jorma Nuutinen has been all in several times.

Just after he was crippled he shoved with {a-Spades}{k-Hearts} and was called by Giacomo Fundaro who also tabled {a-Clubs}{k-Spades} and they chopped it up.

A few open shoves have not been looked up and there was one where Ariel Celestino opened for 50,000 and made what looked like a reluctant fold when Nuutinen moved all in for 281,000.

Nuutinen survives to the break with a glum but determined look on his face.

Five Skrillees Remain on Day 5 of the Last Longer Competition

Nível 24 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante
Skrill
Skrill

The Skrill Last Longer competition has been being held at each stop on this season’s EPT, of which they’re an official sponsor. The promotion is simple – players sign up for the promotion either online (preregistration is available) or at the Skrill booth (which will be present at each stop); don a Skrill patch; and then aim to be the last man or woman standing. The last player remaining will then receive their buy-in back via their Skrill account.

While Skrill is upping the ante for Season 10 with a bigger branding initiative, this isn’t their first appearance on the EPT; as a matter of fact, they were a sponsor of Season 8 and have held previous “Last Longer” promotions.

Here in Sanremo, just five players remained heading into Day 5:

Andrija Martic
Jorma Nuutinen
Lukas Berglund
Emmanuel Pariset
Vincenzo Scarcella

The company’s website provides a bit more information on Skrill, which rebranded from Moneybookers back in 2010:

“Skrill has been moving money digitally since 2001. We offer online payment solutions for businesses and consumers, allowing them to pay and get paid globally. Over 36 million account holders already trust Skrill. Our customers can send and receive money worldwide in 200 countries and 40 currencies, securely and at low cost, without revealing their personal financial details. Your business will benefit from our worldwide payment network with over 100 payment options. Whether through a simple one-step integration or a fully-tailored payment solution. Whoever you are, however you like to pay or get paid, trust Skrill to make your online payments simpler, faster and safer.”

Headquartered in London, Skrill is looking to make their presence known in the poker world with a commitment to customer satisfaction through innovation and service. Not only that, they’re looking to be more than just a company by becoming a trusted and respected member of the poker community.
