Salter Taking Control

Nível 29 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Hand #50: Mayu Roca raised to 190,000 in the small blind with {A-Clubs}{3-Spades} and won the blinds and antes.

Hand #51-52: We missed these hands due to the TV crew showing Philipp Gruissem winning the High Roller event instead.

Hand #53: Jack Salter raised to 205,000 from the small blind with {K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} and Mayu Roca called with {9-Spades}{6-Spades}. The flop was {6-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{5-Spades} and Salter checked but Roca bet 215,000.

"That's a really good bet," said Salter, who folded.

Hand #54: Jack Salter raised to 170,000 from the button with {8-Spades}{4-Spades} and won the blinds.

Hand #55: Jack Salter raised to 170,000 with {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} and won the blinds and antes again.

Magnus Karlsson Eliminated in 5th Place (€332,000)

Nível 29 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante
Magnus Karlsson
Magnus Karlsson

Hand #49: Karlsson moved in under the gun for 1,340,000 with {3-Spades}{3-Clubs}. Moennig in the cutoff asked for a count as he had {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}. He then moved all in as well for 1,565,000.

Jack Salter had left the table in the mean time, and folded. The floorman ruled Salter a two hand penalty for acting out of turn.

Roca had {9-Hearts}{9-Spades} in the big blind and faced two all ins in front of him. He called in the end and had the chance to bust two players. 4,110,000 in the main pot and 450,000 in the side pot.

The {Q-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{8-Clubs} on the flop was a blow for Roca. The {A-Diamonds} on the turn meant Karlsson was definitely out in 6th place. The {7-Hearts} on the river was a blank and we had a bust out and near triple up. The remaining four players are now guaranteed €419,000.

Salter Rivers the Flush

Jack Salter
Jack Salter

Hand #48: Antonio Buonanno limped his small blind with {A-Hearts}{10-Clubs}. Jack Salter checked with {A-Clubs}{8-Spades} in the big blind.

{J-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{2-Spades} on the flop and Buonanno checked, Salter checked behind. The {10-Spades} was an interesting card as Buonanno paired and Salter picked up a big draw. Buonanno bet and Salter made the call. The {5-Spades} on the river gave Salter the flush and Buonanno and Salter both checked. Another pot for the Englishman who increased his chip lead.

England Expects. And Germany. And Sweden.

Nível 29 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

With the elimination of Kenny Hicks in seventh place, we are guaranteed a "new" flag by the name of the Grand Final champion. We have never had a winner of the European Poker Tour's showpiece from any of Germany, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Italy or Colombia, and those are now the only countries we have left.
