Ismail Erkenov opened for 12,000 and Yevgeniy Timoshenko moved all in for 70,500. The blinds got out of the way and Erkenov had a long hard look at the impassive Timoshenko. It looked like a borderline decision but he made the call.
Timoshenko showed him and Erkenov held . Despite Timoshenko being suited it was he who was at risk and had a big sweat on the turn as the board ran out .
Timoshenko survived but only added a small amount to his stack and is still short.
The European Poker Tour Season 10 Player of the Year race is nearing an end, and as you know players have been accumulating points in all events throughout Season 10, regardless of the buy-in level. In addition, all of the Festival Events (Estrellas, UKIPT, Eureka, FPS, IPT) that combine with an EPT tour stop have been eligible for Player of the Year points. The winner of this season’s award will walk away with €50,000 in Main Event buy-ins, good for any PokerStars or Full Tilt sponsored event.

Meanwhile Mike McDonald had in front of him and was awaiting 109,500 times two to get back. The two of them had gotten their chips in before the flop but the board proved good for McDonald who sucked out hitting an ace on the turn. Higgins in the meantime still has a very playable stack.

Govert Metaal limped from early position and Davidi Kitai decided to put in the T5000 calling chip too. Anatoly Filatov is from Russia and he wasn’t having any of that, raising it up to 20,000. The blinds folded and it was back on Metaal who moved all in.
It looked like Filatov hadn’t seen that one coming and he asked for a count of Metaal’s stack which was 140,000 before folding.

Rui Cao, who was the chip leader for a long time but slipped a bit lately, has just eliminated American player Anthony Zinno.
Cao raised it up to 11,500 from the small blind, and Zinno made the call from the big blind. Cao continued for 15,000 on . Zinno pushed all in for 68,500 and Cao snap called.
Cao showed and was almost guaranteed to eliminate Zinno who had to do with . The on the turn brought some possibilities for Zinno, but the on the river was no help.
Anatoly Filatov opened from late position and Dmitry Yurasov made the call in the big blind. They had similar stack sizes but Filatov had slightly more going to the flop of .
A check from Yurasov and Filatov bet 13,000. Yurasov made the call and they went to the turn card . Yurasov check-called a bet of 27,000 from Filatov. It looked like they were getting pot committed.
The river card saw a last check from Yurasov and Filatov fiddled with his chips for a while, giving them a count before announcing he was all in. Yurasov picked up a handful of chips to make the call for his tournament life.
Filatov flipped over for a turned full house. Yurasov’s cards were briefly exposed, . He too had made a full house but it wasn’t good enough and he was out.
