Seiver Doubles

Nível 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Scott Seiver was in the big blind and had called a preflop raise from Govert Metaal. They got to the turn of a board showing {8-Spades}{q-Clubs}{5-Spades}{8-Diamonds} and Seiver moved all in.

Metaal made the call with {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} but Seiver had turned trips with his {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts} hand. The river was the {j-Hearts} and Seiver doubled up.

“Big blind special.” Mused Metaal who no doubt has had a few of those himself in his time.

Bilokur Hero Calls

Nível 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Alex Bilokur opened the hand with a raise to 20,000 from the hijack. He got two callers, both of them with position; Andrew Chen in the cutoff and Anatoly Gurtovoy on the button.

Bilokur continued for 26,000 on {5-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{10-Hearts} and Chen instantly gave up. Gurtovoy made the call though and they were off to see a turn: {K-Spades}. Bilokur checked to Gurtovoy, who opted to check behind.

The river {7-Clubs} made Bilokur check again. This time around, Gurtovoy didn't check behind. He bet 30,000 and Bilokur had the decision. Bilokur made the call and Gurtovoy tabled just {J-Clubs}{8-Clubs}. Bilokur showed his winning {A-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} and took it down.

Mateos Doubles Through Cao

Nível 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Adrian Mateos
Adrian Mateos

Rui Cao raised to 16,000 and Adrian Mateos moved all in for 93,000. Cao got a count and made the call.

Mateos: {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades}
Cao: {A-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

The flop was {9-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} to give Cao a gutshot to go with his overcard.

"That's fair," said Scott Seiver.

The {7-Spades} on the turn changed nothing.

"Also fair," continued Seiver.

The river was the {6-Spades} and Mateos doubled up.

"That's fair, everything in that hand was fair," concluded Seiver.

"You're a great commentator," deadpanned Philipp Gruissem to a few laughs.

Lefrancois Gives Martin the Finger

Nível 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

A double up for Pascal Lefrancois, all in with {K-Spades}{K-Clubs} against Finger's {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}. The board came {10-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{7-Spades}{4-Hearts} and Lefrancois flopping a house to leave the German almost drawing dead on the flop.

Yaroshevskyy Bubbles the EPT10 Grand Final €25,000 High Roller

Nível 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Igor Yaroshevskyy
Igor Yaroshevskyy

It didn't take too long to burst the money bubble.

In the first hand of hand-for-hand play, Davidi Kitai opened for 17,000 under the gun and action folded to Igor Yaroshevskyy, who was in the big blind and extremely short stack. The Ukrainian wasn't about to try to grind it out and instead splashed in his stack of 28,000. Kitai called and the two had to wait several minutes while action concluded at the outer tables.

Eventually the time came for them to turn up their cards.

Kitai: {a-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}
Yaroshevskyy: {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}

Yaroshevskyy was behind, but at least he was drawing to two live cards. The {3-Clubs}{j-Spades}{10-Clubs} flop didn't hit him directly, but it did give him a gutshot to go with his live cards. The {Q-Clubs} turn was no help to him, and neither was the {J-Clubs} river. With that, the bubble was burst.

Yaroshevskyy's elimination in 32nd place means the remaining players are guaranteed a minimum payday of €46,150.

Bubble Bluff

Nível 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

The board read {7-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{7-Spades}{3-Hearts}{a-Clubs} and Martin Finger made a bet of 130,000 which was about a pot sized bet. Byron Kaverman went deep in the tank. If he made the call it would be for most, but not all of his stack. There had been an all-in and a call on a different table and as they were hand for hand there was no question about him stalling for time.

Still the minute ticked by and eventually Finger called the clock on him. With five seconds to go Kaverman released his hand.

Finger showed the assembled crowd his {6-Hearts}{2-Spades} stone cold bluff much to the appreciation of Scott Seiver. Kaverman didn’t look too happy about it though.

Bubble Time

Nível 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

With 32 players remaining, and 31 in the money, it's officially bubble time now. One more player will leave empty handed, all others await a prize of at least €46,150.

Alex Kravchenko Eliminated One From the Money

Nível 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Alex Kravchenko was short stacked and found himself all in with just {A-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}. He got looked up by Simon Higgins who had a far better hand: {J-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}.

Kravchenko hit a ten on the flop, but not more than that: {2-Clubs}{10-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{Q-Spades}.

Kravchenko got up from the table, and with big steps headed for the exit.

Chen Makes Suck Out To Stay Alive

Nível 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Andrew Chen
Andrew Chen

Igor Yaroshevskyy raised it up under the gun to 16,000. Action folded to Andrew Chen in the cutoff who three-bet all in for 131,000. The other players folded and Yaroshevskyy instantly called.

Chen knew he was in trouble with his {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} as Yaroshevskyy tabled {K-Spades}{K-Clubs} just as quickly.

The flop would save Chen though: {Q-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{5-Hearts}. The {2-Hearts} on the turn and {3-Hearts} on the river were blanks and Chen doubled up.
