This is the highest buy-in event that the UK's Niall Farrell has ever played in although it is unlikely to faze him. We asked him what prompted the decision and he said he was pretty sure he would play it before he came provided the money didn't run out. He reasoned, "Cashed the main, so have a wee shot."

Serial High Roller Dmitry Yurasov is here in his lucky Stewie from Family Guy T-Shirt.

The last event of the the2014 PokerStars and Monte-Carlo®Casino EPT Grand Final at the Salles des Etoiles room at Le Sporting is starting shortly. The €25,000 High Roller begins in less than an hour as Season 10 of the European Poker Tour draws to a close.

There was a big turnout for the Super High Roller earlier this week, so we are expecting a large field for this event too. With a lot of the big names knocked out of the Main Event there is sure to be a strong showing from the Team PokerStars Pros and other big names in the world of poker including Phil Ivey.

Last year there were a total of 157 entries (including re-entries) but it wouldn’t be a surprise if this year topped that number. Steven Silverman was last year’s winner taking home €775,400. He is still competing in the Main Event so he won’t be joining us for the start of the action.

This is a single re-entry event, so if the first bullet doesn't find the target the players will have a chance to re-load. Entry and re-entry is open until the start of play on Day 2.

Players begins with a starting stack of 50,000 and level one kicks off with blinds and antes at 100/200/25. There are ten 60 minute levels of play scheduled for Day 1 with a dinner break after level 6.

Join the PokerNews live reporting team from 1pm local time as we bring you the news of who sits down to play and how they fare as they compete for a big payday and the title of High Roller Champion.
