Second Feature Table – A Few Hands

Nível 14 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

No big hands on the second feature table so far but the players are beginning to feel each other out with a lot of glances at stack sizes and betting postures. A few of the hands that have happened went down like this…

Igor Kurganov opened for 45,000 from UTG+1 and when it folded to Daniel Colman all eyes were on him as he took a few moments to three-bet to 110,000. It folded round to Kurganov who mucked his hand.

A couple of hands later short stack Olivier Busquet open shoved and it folded to big blind Ole Schemion who looked at his cards almost expecting to find something to call with but shook his head and folded. Blinds and antes to Busquet.

Richard Yong opened from the button for 40,000. Schemion three bet him to 125,000 from the big blind and Yong responded by splashing out a pile of T25000 chips for a bet of around 380,000. Schemion folded {2-Diamonds}{2-Spades} face up.

Daniel Negreanu Eliminated by Lo Shing Fung

Nível 14 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

Lo Shing Fung limped in for 20,000 from under the gun plus one. Daniel Cates completed from the small blind and action was on Daniel Negreanu in the big blind. He shoved allin for 502,000.

Lo didn't fold so quickly and really thought about it. Negreanu made for some theatre but Lo wasn't impressed. Lo made the call, Cates folded quickly.

Lo Shing Fung: {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}
Daniel Negreanu: {A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}

The {9-Spades}{2-Hearts}{10-Hearts} on the flop was of no use to anyone, besides some back doors for Negreanu. The {Q-Spades} on the turn made an up and down for Negreanu but the last Team PokerStars Pro missed with the {10-Spades} on the river.

Busquet Doubles Through Zhou

Nível 14 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Olivier Busquet
Olivier Busquet

Olivier Busquet moved all in from UTG for 263,000. The action was passed around to Chun Lei Zhou in the big blind who squeezed one card - the {J-Diamonds}. He then slowly squeezed the second which turned out to be the {A-Clubs}. Zhou made the call.

Busquet: {A-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}
Zhou: {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}

The flop came {5-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} which gave Busquet some split pot opportunities, the {8-Diamonds} on the turn gave him a flush draw as well and the river made him both two pair and a flush when the {10-Diamonds} hit the board.

Busquet doubled back up over the half million mark while Zhou was left with just 100,000.

Zhou Back in Business

Nível 14 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Chun Lei Zhou

Sorel Mizzi opened to 40,000 preflop from middle, Chun Lei Zhou moved all in for 100,000 in the small blind and Mizzi made a quick call.

Mizzi: {K-Spades}{10-Spades}
Zhou: {A-Hearts}{2-Hearts}

The flop came {K-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{8-Hearts}, Mizzi flopped top pair but Zhou had an overcard and the nut flush draw. The {4-Hearts} on the turn made Zhou's flush and Mizzi was drawing dead. A meaningless {6-Diamonds} coming on the river. Zhou has over ten big blinds once more.

Zhou Out of Business

Nível 14 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

The comeback attempt of Chun Lei Zhou has come to an end.

It happened when Zhou moved all in for 255,000 or so and Olivier Busquet moved all in over the top. The rest of the field folded and Zhou discovered the bad news.

Busquet: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Zhou: {3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}

Zhou was looking for a three, but it was not meant to be as the board ran out a dry {10-Spades}{2-Spades}{7-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{q-Spades}.

On the very next hand, Busquet opened for 40,000 only to have Igor Kurganov three-bet to 100,000 from the cutoff. Action folded back to Busquet, and he opted to four-bet to 200,000. Kurganov responded by moving all in, and Busquet snap-folded.
