Wet, Wetter

Nível 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

Keith Johnson, a UK PokerStars Player opened for 375, and was three-bet to 1,100 on the button by Zoltan Szabo from Hungary. Johnson made the call and the two players saw a flop of {4-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{6-Hearts}. Johnson check / called a bet of 1,800 and they saw a turn card {8-Hearts}. Johnson again checked and a bet of 2,275 from Szabo convinced him to release his hand on what was a very wet and potentially very dangerous board.

Purice Back to Starting Stack

Nível 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

One of the great things about the slew of PokerStars regional tours is that most of them now feed into EPT's and often give players the chance to play smaller buy-in tournaments before stepping up to the EPT. One such player who's taken that route is Alberto Fiorilla.

The Italian finished fifth at Eureka Croatia in May 2013, winning €15,100 in the process and also finished runner-up in the Eureka Poker Tour leader board and won his seat to this event in a live satellite, but he just found out that the EPT is a fair bit tougher. After a raise to 300 on the button from Mikhail Korotkikh, Fiorilla three-bet to 900 from the small blind only for Tudor Purice, who finished 14th at EPT10 London, to cold four-bet to 2,450 from the big blind.

Both players called and the flop came {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{J-Spades} no one bit though and the {8-Clubs} fell on the turn. It checked to Purice, he bet 3,200 and it was enough to claim the pot. He's back up to just shy of starting stack.

Panka Crippled

Dominik Panka occupys himself during hands by reading.

The board was reading {5-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and Joseph Carlino checked, Antonio Guerrero fired a bet of 2,600 and Dominik Panka, the newly crowned champion of the PCA, made the call from the button.

Carlino counted out his chips before opting to check-raise all in for 13,450. Guerrero got out of the way and Panka quickly flicked in the call.

Carlino: {8-Clubs}{8-Spades}
Panka: {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}

Carlino put on his coat and was getting up to leave despite being over 95% favourite. The {10-Hearts} river doubled the Frenchman up to 40,000 while Panka was left with just 10,000. The Pole didn't look too despondent and simply went back to reading his book.

Trips for Soulier

Nível 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

On a {7-Clubs}{9-Spades}{K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{7-Spades} board we saw Fabrice Soulier bet 3,700 from the small blind. After some thinking Italian player Raffaele Sorrentino on the button made the call by tossing in a 25 chip. He had to add a lot more than that as Soulier tabled {K-Hearts}{J-Hearts} for trips. "The same exact hand" Soulier said while he gathered all the chips.

Soulier is already up to almost 50,000 in chips, good start for the French bracelet winner.

Small Limp

Nível 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

Jacques Dolignon from France limped under-the-gun and a succession of frustrated players after him checked their cards and folded. Niall Farrell was in the small blind and decided to complete leaving a rather surprised Manuel Sadornil from Spain to check his option. The flop was {5-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{3-Diamonds} and all three players checked. Turn card {a-Clubs} and checked to Dolignon who made his move with a bet of 400. Sadornil called and the both checked a river {2-Diamonds}. Sadornil showed {5-Hearts}{7-Clubs} for a pair but was beaten by the {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades} of Dolignon who scooped a small pot just before the break.

Panka Loses Some More

Nível 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

As PokerNews reported earlier PCA champion Dominik Panka took a early hit to drop to just 10,000 and he's just lost another small pot to sink even further.

He raised to 400 from middle position and Benjamin Nicolas-[Removed:372] called from the big blind. On the {K-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{Q-Clubs} flop Panka continued for 500, call from Nicolas-[Removed:372]. Both players checked the {K-Clubs} turn, before Nicolas-[Removed:372] bet 1,000 on the {2-Diamonds} river. A brief stare later from Panka and his cards were in the muck. Pot to Nicolas-[Removed:372].

Meanwhile at the same table David Vamplew is up 30,500, whilst Dermot Blain is down to 25,500

Nível 2 : 75/150, 0 ante
