Purice Back to Starting Stack
One of the great things about the slew of PokerStars regional tours is that most of them now feed into EPT's and often give players the chance to play smaller buy-in tournaments before stepping up to the EPT. One such player who's taken that route is Alberto Fiorilla.
The Italian finished fifth at Eureka Croatia in May 2013, winning €15,100 in the process and also finished runner-up in the Eureka Poker Tour leader board and won his seat to this event in a live satellite, but he just found out that the EPT is a fair bit tougher. After a raise to 300 on the button from Mikhail Korotkikh, Fiorilla three-bet to 900 from the small blind only for Tudor Purice, who finished 14th at EPT10 London, to cold four-bet to 2,450 from the big blind.
Both players called and the flop came no one bit though and the fell on the turn. It checked to Purice, he bet 3,200 and it was enough to claim the pot. He's back up to just shy of starting stack.
