It’s no surprise that Adrian Mateos Diaz is also nominated for the Rookie of the Year as he had an outstanding breakout year in 2013. Without a doubt his victory in the WSOPE Main Event was the highlight, but this 19-year-old has his sights set on bigger prizes. He’s already third on the all-time Spanish money list and wants to overtake Carlos Mortensen. I wouldn’t back against him being back here again next year.
