With 14,000 in the pot and a flop of , a short-stacked Sandor Demjan bet 12,000 from the small blind only to have Ignat "0Human0" Liviu raise to 36,000. Demjan only had 17,000 behind and wasted little time in committing it to the pot.

Liviu:
Demjan was behind preflop but managed to take the lead with a seven on the flop. The turn made things interesting as Liviu picked up a flush draw, but the river failed to help him. Demjan's pair of sevens held and he received a much-needed double.

Philip Sternheimer opened the action from early position and got one caller in Steve O’Dwyer. The two of them saw a flop of . Sternheimer continued for 14,000 and O’Dwyer called. The turn was the , this time Sternheimer checked and it was O’Dwyer who did the betting to the tune of 30,000. A call from Sternheimer and we saw a river card . Sternheimer changed tack and led out for 33,300 and perhaps regretted it when O’Dwyer raised him to 82,000.
Sternheimer asked O’Dwyer how much he had behind and discovered it wasn’t a whole lot more. For his part Sternheimer had 120,000 behind so it was a critical decision. Both players had taken a strange line in the hand and it was left to Sternheimer to the one who faced the final confusing decision. He took several minutes to decide. “Will you show if I fold?” he asked at one point, but O’Dwyer sat still as a rock, hand over his mouth.
Sternheimer folded and after the chips were pushed to him O’Dwyer quietly slid his cards, face down, to the dealer. No show.

The feature table is being live streamed on pokerstars.tv, which you can view by clicking here. Our access is a bit limited, but we did manage to catch a big hand between Steven Silverman and Jonathan Duhamel.
It began when Silverman opened for 4,500 from the button and Duhamel three-bet to 15,000 from the small blind. The big folded, Silverman called and the flop came down . Duhamel continued for 19,000, Silverman called and the dealer burned and turned the .
Duhamel fired once again, this time 34,500, and Silverman made the call. When the completed the board on the river, the Team PokerStars Pro checked and Silverman took the opportunity to put out a big bet. It did the trick as Duhamel quickly released his hand.

The action seems to have slowed down a little bit on table one with fewer hands going post flop and a few opens meeting no resistance. Steve O’Dwyer in particular seems to be able to steal the blinds and antes in position now that his stack is in a more healthy state. Dan Smith won a little pot when he opened to 6,000 in the cut-off and got called in the blinds. A continuation bet of 9,000 when it was checked to him on a board was good enough. Vitaly Lunkin has been fairly quiet so far, but a button three bet to 15,000 was persuasive enough to win him the pot.
We missed the exact amounts, but we do know a preflop raising war saw Philip Sternheimer shove all in from the button and Max Lehmanski made the call from the big blind.
Lehmanski:
Sternheimer:
Sternheimer knew he'd been caught even before the cards were tabled, but even so he was drawing to two live cards. Unfortunately for him, the flop gave Lehmanski two pair. Sternheimer needed running cards to stay alive, and he found one when the turn gave him a gutshot straight draw to a non-diamond six. The dealer burned one last time and put out the .
Lehmanski made a flush to win the pot while Sternheimer rapped the table and quickly exited the tournament floor. Whether or not he opts to re-enter remains to be seem.

Erik Seidel was under the gun and seemed to be contemplating a bet. A moment passeed and the dealer reminded him that the action is on him. Giving a sheepish smile, Seidel released his cards.
When it got to Jean-Noel Thorel he opened the pot to 6,000 and Daniel Alaei, sitting to his left, called. The Blinds folded and the flop fell . Thorel continued for 16,000 and was called by Alaei. Thorel bet out again, for 30,000 on a turn card . That was enough for Alaei and he releases his hand.
Players are now on their second 20-minute break of the day.
