Silverman Ousted from the Feature Table
Our access to the feature table is limited, and it appears since our last pass that Steven Silverman has been eliminated. From what we could piece together, Andrew Lichtenberger got his stack of 110,000 all in preflop holding the 
and was called by Silverman, who held the 
. Lichtenberger's hand got there and Silverman was left with just 12,000.
In the very next hand, Silverman got it in with the 
and was up against the 
of Frederik Jensen. The 
flop gave Silverman a flush and the guaranteed double. One hand later, Silverman got it in holding the 
and was once again called by Jensen, who was holding 
. The 
flop gave Silverman a flush draw, which he needed to hit after a turn gave Jensen a pair of kings. The 
on the river was not a heart and that was all she wrote for Silverman.
Silverman won the inaugural World Poker Tour Alpha8 event $100,000 event at the Seminole Hard Rock in Hollywood, Florida just a few days ago and subsequently passed Paul Volpe on the 2013 Global Poker Index Player of the Year leader board. Unfortunately for him, Silverman won't be adding anymore GPI points in this event.
