Tapio Vihakas Eliminates Cezar Oprea in 31st Place (€21,200)

Nível 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

On a {9-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{5-Hearts} board it was Cezar Oprea who was all in with {6-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}. Oprea was already short and got looked up by Tapio Vihakas with {A-Clubs}{7-Clubs}. The {9-Spades} didn't improve Oprea and neither did the {5-Spades} on the river. Oprea out, Vihakas a little richer.

Pecheux: {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}

The Daily EPT10 Player of the Year Update (12-16-13)

Nível 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

The European Poker Tour Season 10 Player of the Year race is on, and as you know players will be able to accumulate points in all events throughout Season 10, regardless of the buy-in level. In addition, all of the Festival Events (Estrellas, UKIPT, Eureka, FPS, IPT) that combine with an EPT tour stop will be eligible for Player of the Year points. The winner of this season’s award will walk away with €50,000 in Main Event buy-ins, good for any PokerStars or Full Tilt sponsored event.

The Global Poker Index (GPI) points formula, which will be used to determine the EPT10 POY, is a bit complicated, but you can read about all the details here.

Thomas Muhlocker was in the lead entering Prague, and thanks to his 149th-place finish in the Main Event, he'll be adding some more points to his total.

Here are the current top ten on the EPT10 POY Leaderboard (last updated October 16, 2013):

Two Double Ups

Nível 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

We've still got 32 players left as the last two all in and calls went the way of the short stacks.

First Romain Chauvassagne four-bet all-in for 323,000 with {K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} and Sotirios Koutoupas, who had three-bet to 112,000, made the call.

Chauvassagne: {K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}
Koutoupas: {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs}

The {7-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{5-Hearts} flop gave Chauvassagne an unbeatable flush and the {4-Spades} and {2-Diamonds} completed the board. He climbs to 660,000 and Koutoupas drops to 760,000.

One table across Radek Stockner raised to 32,000 there was a flat call and Dimitri Holdeew then three-bet to 89,000. Back on Stockner he four-bet to 233,000, Holdeew set Stockner all in for 552,000 total and Stockner called it off.

Holdeew: {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}
Stockner: {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}

The board ran {j-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{2-Diamonds} and Stockner doubled to over a 1,100,000.

Murgia Doubles Through Silver

Nível 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

It was a preflop all in: three bet, four bet all in, call. Silver had the best of it with his {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} but Emmanuel Murgia was all but drawing dead with the {K-Spades}{Q-Clubs}.

The {J-Spades} in the window wasn't all that important, the {Q-Spades} that accompanied it was. The {4-Clubs}, {4-Diamonds} and {2-Hearts} made for the rest of the board and Silver had to stack of 452,000 to his Belgian opponent.

Silver is still doing fine with 1,373,000, Murgia is now nearing the million chip mark.

Koutoupas Calls With Ace Jack High

Nível 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Koutoupas still has it
Koutoupas still has it

We caught the action on the turn as Tamer Kamal bet out 92,000 from the small blind. His opponent was EPT Prague 2012 runner up Sotirios Koutoupas who made the call.

{5-Clubs} on the river and Kamal wasn't backing down just yet. He made it 160,000 for Koutoupas to call. The Greek player had some issues with this bet, shaking his head a couple of times and thinking about it really hard.

After some time he tossed in two 10,000 chips to indicate the call. Kamel threw his {A-Spades}{10-Hearts} on the table but knew that was nog good. Before even showing his hand, Koutoupas made a small fist pump celebrating his great call. He then showed {A-Hearts}{J-Spades} and raked in the chips.
