O’Dwyer Put to the Test

Nível 12 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

Thomas Muhlocker put the pressure on Steve O’Dwyer with an all-in bet on the river of a board showing {7-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{4-Hearts}. The clubs were out there, the straight was out there. O’Dwyer thought it over and made the call for his tournament life. Muhlocker turned over his {a-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}, he had made the straight on the river. O’Dwyer turned over {8-Spades}{8-Hearts} and they chopped it up.

Higgins Won’t Back Down

Nível 12 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

Simon Higgins from the UK opened for 2,400 and Vanessa Selbst raised him to 13,000. Max Heinzelmann four-bet from the big blind to 36,000 and it was back to the original opener Higgins. A five-bet to 90,000 from Higgins got Selbst out of the way and Heinzelmann threw his cards in too. The aggression of Higgins working a treat on that occasion.

Eiler Sends Korenev to the Rail

Nível 12 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

A short-stacked Roman Korenev moved all in for 10,500 from the cutoff and received a call from Andreas Eiler, who had plenty of chips to spare in the big blind.

Korenev: {q-Spades}{j-Spades}
Eiler: {k-Hearts}{10-Clubs}

Eiler was ahead, but Korenev was drawing to two live cards. The {9-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} flop wasn't particularly interesting, and neither was the {3-Clubs} turn. Korenev needed either a queen or jack on the river to stay alive, but it wasn't in the cards as the {K-Spades} blanked.

No Respect

Nível 12 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

David Vamplew opened for 4,800 from the cut-off and the decision was on Antonio Lafosse from Peru who asked for a count and was Vamplew told him he had 38,000 behind. As Lafosse contemplated his decision Vamplew stared him down. Lafosse reached for chips Antonio Lafosse regardless and a raise of 18,000 was enough to win him the pot.

Vanessa Selbst opened from first position for 5,000 and got a call from start of day chip leader to her left Georgios Karakousis. Dan Shak folded but there we’re two other callers, small blind Antonio Lafosse and big blind Simon Higgins. A flop of {3-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} was checked to Selbst who bet 7,200 and saw the chips head her way.

Big River Decision for Guigon

Nível 12 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

The flop was {3-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{8-Clubs} and Bernard Guigon had checked it over to Akin Tuna who bet 66,000 the majority of Guigon’s stack. Guigon went in the tank, counting out the chips for a call from his stack. He then reassembled his stack and looked at the tournament clock. Five minutes to the break. He shook his head and released his hand. The chips were passed to Tuna.
