The European Poker Tour Season 10 Player of the Year race is on, and as you know players will be able to accumulate points in all events throughout Season 10, regardless of the buy-in level. In addition, all of the Festival Events (Estrellas, UKIPT, Eureka, FPS, IPT) that combine with an EPT tour stop will be eligible for Player of the Year points. The winner of this season’s award will walk away with €50,000 in Main Event buy-ins, good for any PokerStars or Full Tilt sponsored event.
The Global Poker Index (GPI) points formula, which will be used to determine the EPT10 POY, is a bit complicated, but you can read about all the details here.

Simon Higgins opened for 6,000 and faced a big blind shove for 40,000 from Benjamin Pollak. Higgins called it off with and got the bad news when Pollak showed . The cards ran out and a chunk of Higgin’s stack slid over to double up Pollak.
Andreas Eiler opened from early position and was raised by Benjamin Pollak who had just doubled up through Higgins. Eiler decided to see how much he valued those newly won chips and bet enough to set him in. Polllak checked his cards and mulled it over. Into the muck they went, not this time.
The official numbers are in. The EPT10 Prague €10,000 High Roller attracted 137 unique players that accounted for 39 reentires, which brings the total field up to 176. That has created a €1,724,800 prize pool that will be distributed to the top 24 players as follows:
Simon Higgins called a shove from Benjamin Pollak. Higgins had him covered and tabled dominating the of Pollak. The cards ran out a cruel and another pile of Higgin’s chips went to Pollak.
Players are having a twenty minute break during which the black 100 chips will be raced off.
