Dimitrios Farmakoulis got his stack of 155,000 all in preflop holding the and was in dire straits against the of Timothy Adams. Farmakoulis was on elimination's doorstep, but the flop gave him a reprieve as he hit a set. Neither the turn nor river allowed Adams to catch back up, and Farmakoulis exited the tournament area for a private celebration.
Shortly after being crippled by Dimitrios Farmakoulis, Timothy Adams hit the rail courtesy of Carla Sabini. We missed the action but arrived in time to see that Sabini had the laid out in front of her on an ace-high board. Adams' cards had already been pulled into the muck.
A preflop raising war resulted in [Removed:203] getting his stack of 306,000 all in preflop holding the and he was up against the of Nicolau Villa-Lobos, who barely had him covered. The flop wasn't particularly interesting, but the turn was as Mueller picked up an open-ended straight draw. Unfortunately for him, the river didn't complete it. The stacks were verified and then Mueller made his way to the payout desk.
With a board reading , Javier Etayo moved all in and put the pressure on Christoph Weckmann, who had about 100,000 behind. Weckmann thought for two solid minutes before calling off with the for a pair of sevens, but it proved unwise as Etayo held two pair with the .
Joel Nordkvist got his stack of 151,000 all in preflop holding the and was in bad shape against the of Robin Ylitalo. Nordkvist was looking for a six, but he was left wanting as the board ran out . Nordkvist wished the table luck and the made his way to the payout desk.
Ole [Removed:332] and Ruben Velasco have been dueling a lot on the outer feature table. [Removed:332] called a 40,000 bet on the board but was put into the tank when Velasco shoved on the turn.
[Removed:332] eventually called and found his only needing to dodge three outs against Velasco's . The river changed nothing and the young Norwegian doubled up.
Ruben Velasco had been left short after those encounters with Ole [Removed:332] and he moved all in for his last 120,000 or so. Unfortunately for him, Joey Lovelady wasted little hesitation and quickly made the call.
