David "Bakes" Baker raised to 800 in middle position, Steven Silverman called in position, and Andrey Andreev called out of the blinds. The flop fell {7-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{10-Spades}, and the action checked to Silverman who bet 1,750. Only Andreev called.

Both players checked when the {7-Hearts} turned, and Andreev check-called a bet of 2,000. Silverman showed {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} for aces and sevens, winning the pot.

The board just read {3-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{5-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{3-Spades} when Rajendrakumar Choraria checked to Fabian Quoss who bet 8,500 from the cutoff. Choraria moved all in for 28,300 from the hijack and the pressure was now back on the German pro.

"Full house," Choraria said when Quoss finally made the call.

"I can't beat a house," Quoss said with a wry smile as he waited for his opponent to turn his cards over.

Choraria showed {2-Spades}{2-Diamonds} and raked in this big pot. Quoss was left with just 13,000 chips.

Watson Runs Into Aces

Christoph Vogelsang raised to 800 after which an Simon Higgins three-bet to 2,200. The action was folded to Mike Watson in the small blind and he four-bet to 6,600. The big blind and Vogelsang folded and Higgins put in a five bet to 16,000.

Watson tanked for quite a while but eventually he made the call.

The flop brought {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} and Watson checked immediately. Higgins bet 16,000 again en Watson tanked before moving all in. The snap-called followed and Watson did not like what he saw.

The board ran out {10-Spades}, {3-Hearts} and Watson was knocked out as his opponent was all in for 44,250 and he had only 40,000 left. Watson has the option to do a rebuy up until the start of Day 2.

The turn was the {j-Hearts}, Shakerchi led out for 6,500, and only Sternheimer called.

The {3-Hearts} completed the board, Shakerchi fired out another 10,400, and Sternheimer moved all in for effectively 35,000 or so. Shakerchi frustratedly dropped the chips he was shuffling, and flicked his cards into the muck.
