Aido's Top Pair Loses

Nível 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

Blind versus blind, Sergio Aido was in position, raising to 4,500 over a 1,500-bet on {10-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{2-Spades}{q-Diamonds}. His opponent called and they tapped the felt on the {9-Spades} river.

Aido tabled {a-}{q-} but he found out that the other player had him beat all the way as he showed {2-Clubs}{2-Hearts}.

Mehta Survives

Nível 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

Under the gun, Pratik Mehta raised all in for 7,825 over a 3,000-wager from the button with {3-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{q-Clubs} on the table. Mehta received a call and he found himself in favorable spot, holding {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} versus {q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}.

Mehta faded a ten on the {4-Spades} and {2-Clubs} run out and doubled to 17,650.

Yazbeck Wins Another Big One

Nível 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

A completed board of {6-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{a-Spades}{4-Spades}{10-Spades} lay between a player under the gun and Mark Yazbeck on the button. About 17,000 was in the middle and the under-the-gun player had bet 11,000. Yazbeck was in the tank and finally slid out a tower of multi-colored denominations.

Thinking he'd been called, the first player flipped over {a-}{j-}, only to be informed it was a min-raise. He then called, but Yazbeck had run out a flush with {q-Spades}{2-Spades}.

"He called the flop," Yazbeck's opponent muttered in disbelief.

Zobian Gets Respect

Nível 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

Aram Zobian bet 6,000 into 7,000 from the hijack with {7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{7-Clubs} on the felt.

"I think I need to fold this," his opponent in the small blind said with a smile.

After another minute, he flicked in one card and Zobian mucked and dragged the pot. The other player showed his other card was the {q-Spades}.

It's Over for Blomberg

Nível 2 : 100/200, 0 ante
Mark Yazbeck
Mark Yazbeck

Colton Blomberg's Main Event run was frustrating from the opening level, and the second round wasn't any different for the American player who just lost his remaining chips.

Blomberg was seen facing a 6,000-bet from Mark Yazbeck on a turn reading {6-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{8-Clubs} and he moved all in with {q-Spades}{q-Clubs} only to look at the opponent's flopped set with {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}.

The {2-Clubs} river ended Blomberg's downhill for good.

Tedeschi Fires Big on River

Nível 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

Kelly Minkin led out 1,300 from the small blind on a {3-Clubs}{4-Spades}{2-Spades}{q-Diamonds} turn and Paul Tedeschi raised to 4,200 under the gun. A player on the button called and Minkin gave up.

Tedeschi opted to bet 10,400 into about 12,000 when the {2-Hearts} appeared on the river, and his opponent took over a minute before releasing his hand into the muck.

Kim Goes Nowhere

Nível 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

Two players checked to Gab Yong Kim, who bet 550 in middle position on a {2-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{5-Diamonds} flop. The small blind called and the big blind made it 2,000 to go. Kim called and they went heads up to the {j-Spades} turn. The big blind checked and quickly folded to a big barrel of 6,400.

Moreno Drives Two Out

Nível 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

Andrew Moreno looked to have been the original opener, with Alex Lynskey making it 1,600 on his left in the hijack. The cutoff cold-called and Moreno came back with 5,800. That convinced Lynskey to give it up in short order. The cutoff took a bit longer but folded as well.
