Watson Turned Dead by Greenwood

Nível 11 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Mike Watson
Mike Watson

Mike Watson raised to 6,500 from the hijack and Sam Greenwood three-bet to 18,000 on the button. The blinds folded and Watson then four-bet all in for 95,000. Greenwood snap-called.

Mike Watson: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Sam Greenwood: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

The flop {2-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{10-Hearts} changed nothing, but the {q-Clubs} had Watson drawing dead as Greenwood made a full house. The river was the {a-Diamonds} and Watson was eliminated.

Jiang Eliminated by Seidel

Nível 11 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Sosia Jiang got her short stack in with the {k-Hearts}{10-Clubs} and Erik Seidel made the call with {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}.

The {j-Clubs}{j-Spades}{9-Clubs} flop all but sealed Jiang's fate while the {j-Diamonds} on the turn provided a potential miracle escape if the case jack was to show up. Instead, the {6-Diamonds} river came a blank and that sent Jiang to the rail.

Addamo Doubles van Blarcum

Nível 11 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

It was a flip that decided over the fate of Aaron van Blarcum as he was at risk for 44,000 with the {3-Hearts}{3-Spades} and Michael Addamo looked him up holding the {a-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}.

The {7-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{3-Clubs} flop gave him bottom set while the {8-Clubs} turn opened up chop outs with another club on the river. Instead, the {8-Spades} appeared to let van Blarcum double with a full house.

Jiang Left Short After Burns Double

Nível 11 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Kahle Burns and Sosia Jiang got their stacks in before the flop with the former at risk for 49,200.

Burns tabled {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} and was flipping against Jiang's {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}. The {a-Spades}{j-Spades}{6-Diamonds} flop gave Burns two pair, the {k-Spades} turn and {2-Hearts} river run out failed to improve Jiang. She was ready to leave but Burns immediately said he was not covering, and doubled for 49,200 to leave Jiang on fewer than 10 big blinds.

Kempe Dodges Aces and Clubs to Double

Nível 11 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

The hot run of Michael Soyza has cooled down for a moment as he was unable to get there with {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} against the {k-Hearts}{k-Spades} of Rainer Kempe.

On a board of {10-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}, the fourth club didn't show up either and Soyza had to fork over a portion of his stack to Kempe.

Addamo Cracks Zhou's Aces

Nível 10 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante

Michael Addamo's raise was met with a three-bet to 18,600 by Quan Zhou and Addamo glanced at the stack of his table neighbor before making it 51,000 to go. Zhou moved all in for just over 200,000 and Addamo called.

Quan Zhou: {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}
Michael Addamo: {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

The {j-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{k-Hearts} board improved Addamo to a set and both stacks were counted. Addamo was at risk for 209,400, which covered Zhou by very few big blinds.

O'Dwyer Eliminated

Nível 10 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante

In a series of hands, Steve O'Dwyer lost almost all of his chips, doubled once and was then eliminated by Michael Soyza.

First, he doubled Alex Foxen they they got it in with {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs} versus {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades} and Foxen hit the nut straight on the {q-Spades}{10-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{8-Spades} board to double his 56,400.

Down to 1,000 O'Dwyer jammed and was called by Sam Greenwood on the button.

Steve O'Dwyer: {k-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Sam Greenwood: {a-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}

The {q-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} board gave O'Dwyer a pair of tens on the river.

He then jammed the next hand for 6,400 and picked up two callers in Mike Watson and Soyza in the big blind. The {6-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop was checked and Soyza bet the {9-Clubs} turn for 12,000, which Watson called. Soyza bet the {a-Spades} river for 25,000 and Watson folded. Soyza tabled the {a-Clubs}{q-Spades} and O'Dwyer ended up second-best with the {7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}.
